Modern Retreat on Lake Superior, close to the Snowmobile trails!
Private lakeside retreat. Located on the Keeweenaw Bay, part of Lake Superior. Modern amenities, cozy vibes and amazing views. Our Superior Unit is a private space with its own seperate entry, full kitchen, and 2 large bedrooms- one with a full/twin bunk bed, and one with a king bed. Close to the snowmobile trails, lake access, restaurants and grocery stores. Come enjoy the unique lifestyle of Michigan's Upper Peninsula, in a clean and modern environment.
This was a very clean place with a beautiful view out the back. You could hear the traffic from the road in the living room, but not in the bedrooms. However, you can hear the people next door as if they're in your room. Their toilet is right next to the master bed and the flushes woke us up. We could hear their conversations when they arrived at midnight. If there was soundproofing between the spaces it would be much, much better.
We rented both this unit and the unit next to it for 2 families. This made us feel like we were all together. The front entrance does not truly show how nice this facility is as it is somewhat close to M41. However, the inside is great (all new) and the back deck overlooks Lake Superior for an amazing view. Would highly recommend.
We enjoyed our stay at this property. This was our first visit to upper Michigan and this location was great for central location to see from Painted Rocks to Copper Harbor, and on our way seeing Apostle Islands. The UP treated us to spectacular display of fall color's.
The property was roomy and worked for our family. I had not been to the area before and did not realize it is on the main road so it is a little noisy, and there is no water access in front of the property- I thought there was. But there is a nice view. I think it is a nicely renovated building with about 6 part time and full time apartments. The porch was nice. Anyway- we were able to easily get to things we wanted to see like Copper Harbor etc. But this was not a remote water access site- which was probably in the description but I did not read closely.
Very nice unit. We loved the deck and view of the lake. It was very clean and had everything you would need. Very spacious, plenty of parking. Nice place to call home between our days trips exploring the area! We would definitely book again.
We stayed for two nights to explore and fish on Lake Superior and Keweenaw Bay. It was the perfect location! The house was clean and comfortable. Renee was a great host.
Great price and absolutely perfect spot on the bay. My husband, adult/teen kids, and I loved every minute of the stay. From the great views, to the comfort, and the amazing service. I needed a fan but had no room to pack one and she got me one, plus was very responsive to every message I sent. Will book again in the future!
My friends and I stayed the weekend at Renee and Basil's rental for a girl's weekend. It was the perfect location, plenty of sites to take in in the surrounding area. We made friends with the couple renting the other unit within the home, and all agreed this place is exactly as described and pictured. Renee was very informative, helpful, and responsive with inquiries. Would definitely stay again!
This is my second stay at Renee's property. The unit has been spotless both times. Yes, there is highway noise, but there is only one way UP! The new back deck with the awesome views of the bay and sunrises is well worth a little daytime noise. Renee is a great host, checks in on me, and I know if I had any issues she would attend to it quickly. I also met the cleaning staff this trip, and she was friendly as well.
Perfect location close to a Michigan Tech. We were about 30 minutes away from our college student in case something was needed. Grocery store and fish market were down the road. Waterfront property with a beautiful deck, table, and chairs to relax. We would definitely recommend staying in this location!
We loved the location of the place in a sleepy little town AND on Lake Superior, or Gitcha Gumee, as Gordon Lightfoot made popular. Yes, during the day, there was road noise, but nights and weekends it was quiet. Heck, we travel with a sound machine anyway.
The place was clean and newly updated. Recommended!
