My First Hostel Experience – A Complete Nightmare This was my very first experience staying in a hostel – and unfortunately, it turned into a complete nightmare. Exactly what I was afraid of happened: I, a young woman, was placed in a room with five adult men. I was the only female in the room. As soon as I walked in, the room had a strong, unpleasant smell. I felt extremely unsafe and uncomfortable. I ended up crying and decided not to stay the night. Instead, I checked into another hotel while I waited for the staff to resolve the situation. What I find especially disrespectful is that they thought it was okay to put a young girl in an all-male room with men over 40, some of them made inappropriate comments toward me. How anyone thought that was a good idea is beyond me. I’m still traumatized by the experience and would never return to this hostel. To make things worse, the bathroom was filthy and had mold.

A cheap and reliable option!

The staff was helpful, allowing me some flexibility in storing my bags. There was a lounge that was comfortable and convenient, the room was quiet, secure, and clean.

Great Stay, Open Late

We were arriving in Barcelona very late from our flight and needed somewhere with a late check in. We found this hostel and were very surprised how nice and clean it was. Highly reccomend staying here and dont let it being a hostel turn you off. We have a private room and it was great.

Lovely

Had to booked last minute due to holiday problem. I’ve never stayed in a hostel before so was quite apprehensive. Booked at 9pm for arrival at midnight. Thank god they were there for me at that time of night. Only stayed six hours as was on a flight the next morning but the bed was fabulous and the services I used (power and bathroom) were appreciated. Would like to come back and actually stay here longer as I’m now far more open to hostelling and felt very safe.
