The Hotels.com website rated this hotel an 8.4 and âwonderful,â but I completely disagree. To start, you have to drive through an AutoZone parking lot just to reach the hotel lot, which is currently under construction. They even filled in the pool to make room for more parking spaces.
At first, those things didnât bother me too muchâbut then I waited over 15 minutes for someone to come to the front desk to check me in. The woman who eventually helped me was friendly and apologetic, but it was clear she was working alone with little support.
When I got to my room, things went downhill fast. The couch had white, crusty stains all over it. The beds were made, but the linens had visible stains and hair on them. I was placed in an accessible room I hadnât booked, and the water was only lukewarm. Nothing in the room appeared to have been wiped down or properly cleaned.
Iâve stayed in some older, less-updated hotels beforeâthat doesnât bother me. But when Iâm paying $180 a night, I expect the room to be clean. The stains, grime, and general lack of cleanliness made the stay completely unacceptable.
Luckily, this was only a one-night stay and we werenât in the room for long. Overall, a very subpar experience. There are plenty of other hotels in the area Iâd try before staying at this Comfort Inn again.
