The lady on reception was most welcoming and went above and beyond. The room was clean and well stocked. Staff at the bar and breakfast were welcoming and attentive. Breakfast buffet was perfect

Very good hotel, the room was very clean and there was plenty of space for everything. We even stayed and had a meal in the Recess restaurant which was excellent.

The first room we checked into had various issues. Leaking toilet, shower head wouldn't stay up and the towel holder was falling off the wall, the reception staff were very helpful and change our room , but no guests should be checking into rooms with this many issues. No beer on tap all weekend ! Service in the bar and restaurant was very slow due to there not being enough staff, we had to wait 1 1/2 hours for our food sat evening and then was still charged a service charge , I didn't want to bring this up at the time because I generally felt sorry for the staff who were doing their best but were short staffed. The staff were all very friendly and helpful.
