Unfortunately we didn't even get out of the car to check in. The building was not as pictured on the booking app, and is in need of a total overhaul. It was a cold day and ever single window was open, which I think could indicate an internal issue with odours. Even worse than the condition of the building, was the car park being occupied by men dotted around in various places that were smoking rolled cigarettes that smelt very funny. So, unfortunately due to feeling unsafe to the point of not even get out of our car, we decided to move onto another hotel.

Great hotel some small issues do need to be addressed the taps constantly leaked in the bathrooms we moved rooms when we first arrived as the bathroom taps was leaking we moved to another room and that tap started leaking apart from that no issues staff very attentive and dealt with any issues promptly i would definitely stay again 😀

Disappointed

We arrived at the hotel, and instantly felt uncomfortable. We checked in, we got to the room that we booked and found evidence that the room had been attempted or even broken into. The window was open, it opened up onto a flat roof where other rooms had windows, the window wouldn't even shut. We let the reception staff know of this, they offered us another room but we declined and found alternative accommodation.

Breakfast and morning staff was so lovely but night lady was not when arrived she just gave key and didn’t even know where to go as she just went on to next customer so had to ask. room was spacious but had to climb stairs to 3rd floor as no lift and I’ve got disability so not good at all. Shower was red hot and button wouldn’t turn to cool down we had reported this and still hadn’t been fixed

The welcome was friendly. The room smelt of smoke despite the fact that it was a non-smoking facility. There was a leak in the bath from the overflow - I put the tap in and half the bath was full by the time I woke up. Cannot stand in bath for shower and the water would not go through the shower adaption so had to have taps running. The hot tap in the sink could not be turned off so ran continuously for the duration. I had paid for breakfast and when I got downstairs the coffee and tea facilities said there would be an extra charge because there was a kettle in the rooms with coffee and tea making facilities!! Overall not too impressed.

Room needed decorating . Bathroom needed some attention to mould around taps and grouting . My room was noisy due to being next to the door for the stairs . On the plus side …bedding was lovely and clean …blackout curtains were great …no noise from area surrounding the hotel . Plenty of hot water for a shower. Breakfast was nice and hot .

I stayed in this hotel for 5 nights, at first I was thoroughly impressed with the quality for the price. However, on the first night we had many disruptions with the fire alarm going off four times in the night constantly waking up me and my wife. Because of this we felt on edge and uneasy staying in this hotel. Additionally, we found a carpet beetle larva in our bed after the cleaner had replaced our sheets. The shower was also too hot for use and led to us having uncomfortably cold showers. Overall, it was quite a pleasant stay disregarding these issues considering the price for our stay. The bus stop is easily accessible and there is a Lidl directly opposite the hotel making it convenient for anything you may need.
