Unlike my last visit at the beginning of Nov on first floor, this third floor room was not good enough for the money. Mattress sagging and really needs replacing. I placed a towel under the sheet as the mattress protector was very stained. Bed frame broken. A lot of noise from the room adjoining (315). Did I get the worst/last room because of late check in even though I booked well in advance? Staff on reception and serving at breakfast were lovely as usual and breakfast was good. Bar food last night was not as good as on previous occasions and menu items had sold out (salad niçoise). Chicken César salad was truly awful. Extremely limited alcohol free options too. Becks blue was only lager/ale option. You have Hobson’s brewery in Cleobury Mortimer down the road - you could use them. Missed opportunity in today’s increasingly sober curious age. But as I said, reception staff, waiting staff and brekky all lovely as before.

My stay at the Novotel Hotel was very good no complaints. The rooms were clean with the offer of robes and slippers (nice touch) The staff were amazing, polite and very pleasant. The breakfast was good, the choicesand the healthy options available. Overall experience excellent! I would recommend this hotel

Staff great but room poor. The room requires updating and the sink overflows with a smell, plus wastage comes up into the sink. The toilet needs a sink as leaving the toilet without washing hands and touching surfaces to get to the bathroom to wash your hands. Will not use this hotel xhain again

Good stay. However, we waited to be served at the bar and nobody appeared for 5 minutes, so we went somewhere else. In the room there was a bun in the bathroom but not the toilet room-so nowhere to discard sanitary products. Also no sanitary bags.

Room was clean and spacious, albeit a little dated. Bring plugs as there are no usb points. Do like the fact it has a separate toilet. Breakfast and bar service excellent, quick and attentive.

1. I'd added an extra night and while the hotel confirmed that it would be linked when I got there it wasnt. Subsequently access to my room was locked after 24 hours. 2. Shower tub height was 2 inches above my knee. I'm 5ft4in making it hard to climb into shower and impossible to climb out. Was moved to an accessible room. 3. Breakfast. Please wait to be seated said the sign. Gave my room number and left standing. Asked if i could sit anywhere. Told self service. Over one hour of service left but most pastries were gone and not more coming out. No glasses left, reluctantly got some more. No small plates or bowls remaing, asked two people. Ended up using tea cup as a cereal bowl. Two bowls later put out and quickly taken by others. 4. Room i was moved to had water pipes which kicked in with noise from 4am when others started getting up. Lost over two hours sleep as it kept stop starting 5. Put in my room no cleaning signs on door. Housekeeping came in at 12 to clean room while i was trying to catch up on sleep. She had room only booked for one night 6. Got locked out of room as despite assurances they still had linked thw two nights booking. 7. Checked out at 8pm and cut my losses and drove home.
