I like that what appears a vintage property has been modernized with tasteful room decor and nice beds/bathrooms. Our two queen bed room was cozy and but a touch small if you travel with a large assortment of travel items! The view of the water was very nice. The Adirondack chairs were in a perfect locale to sit outdoors! I watched the seabirds and the lobster boats working away right in front of our property. It was quiet overnight. It’s great for couples or family. The dining room served a nice but a lil pricey breakfast.

The resort grounds were beautiful and located in a peaceful setting. We were pleasantly surprised by the restaurant and bar which were very convenient after being out all day exploring. The only issue we found was the King room was smaller than expected and if you’re put in one of the rooms in the house, the main door doesn’t have a damper on it so it would slam shut every time someone came and went which was very jarring.

I don’t usually write reviews, but this is definitely a place I would recommend staying if you’re in the area. It was super private and hidden with a great ocean views. Was very relaxing and the added porch with chairs was our favorite part, they even provide a blanket for cold nights on the porch. The room was super clean and comfortable, we will definitely be staying here again in the future.

Clean and well-updated rooms. But the most impressive part of our stay was the restaurant. Food was extraordinary, some dishes were Michelin-level (we just returned from France). Their cod was ther most creative fish dish I ever tried and made me love kale that accompanied it! Crab cakes and lobster corn fritters were innovative and delicious. No wonder this restaurant is booked solid, no other place we ate in the area got even close! I think the owners have a gem of a chef and my highest compliments to him/her! Bravo!

An incredible experience! The property was a delight. Off the beaten path but a short driving distance to Boothbay Harbor. Rustic well maintained and simplified decor. If you’re expecting marble floors, contemporary style with upscale vibe this is not it. If you’re looking for a secluded, laid back authentic Coastal Maine retreat this is the one. It forces you to slow down relax and enjoy the area. The restaurant is fantastic and the staff makes you feel at home.
