This renovated and beautifully decorated bungalow sits right near the heart of town in the Cardiff walking district. Extensive cleaning and linen service after every single stay. A quick 2 minute walk to town and only a few more minutes to the beach, includes use of: boogie and surf boards, beach chairs and towels, sand toys, and beach umbrellas. We love to travel, appreciate great quality, and have taken great care to fully outfit our vacation home with all the things we love. And we hope you do, too!

Beautifully renovated kitchen fully stocked with everything you’ll need to prepare gourmet meals, and designer furnishings throughout. 4K HD TVs in the living room and master bedroom, AT&T fiber high-speed 1GB upload and download speed internet and full YouTube TV (including Sports Plus, Entertainment and 4K Packages), Apple TVs with over 1,000 movies, Lenovo Bluetooth bedside clocks with speakers and USB charge ports, a master charging station for all components, and even a portable iHome Bluetooth speaker for you to enjoy outside or at the beach.

The bungalow includes: a fully enclosed private back yard complete with a sitting/sunning patio area with a gas fire-pit, an outdoor dining area along with a covered and enclosed laundry room with a stacked LG washer/dryer. A BBQ grill just off the kitchen is also included for usage during your stay. Additionally, a shared outdoor hot water shower for both people and pets is located between the front and back bungalows. A dedicated pet relief area is located just behind the fire pit area along side the house.

The shared Sports Shed includes: yeti style drink coolers, boogie boards, surfboards, beach chairs, beach towels, sand toys, sand wagons and beach umbrellas are all for you to use during your stay. Split type air conditioning/heating system is provided to keep you cool on those hot summer days. All laundry, bathroom, and kitchen amenities are included. Electric car charging available onsite for an additional hourly fee.

This bungalow is located on a quiet street, a short stroll from the heart of Cardiff’s many restaurants, cafes, boutiques, yoga studios, salons, library, post office, wine bars, and local favorite – the “Seaside Market” grocery store, plus great surfing and beautiful beaches!

You can also catch the nearby Coaster to explore downtown San Diego for the day. A short drive away you can hike the bluffs overlooking the ocean at nearby Torrey Pines Reserve, catch the thrill of the world-renowned Del Mar Racetracks, snorkel in gorgeous La Jolla Cove, or take in a Padre game after a long day on the beach.

Guest access

Sleeps up to five on approval. One king-size bed, two twin beds, and a sofa which we can provide bedding upon check in for an additional $20/night fee. Guests have the entire bungalow to themselves along with a private fenced in yard. Yale keyless door entry coded uniquely to each guest.

Interaction with guests

We like to have our customer service leader Stacey Peterson meet all guests upon check-in and give a tour of the property. Managing partner Keith Clarke lives a short drive away and is always available via phone or text. If you find that the home seems to be missing something that you’ll need during your stay, please don’t hesitate to ask. We’re happy to accommodate requests. This home is our happy place and we’re sure it’ll soon be yours, too!

Other details to note

* Enjoy a 10% discount on your stay if it spans 7 nights or more.
* Enjoy a 17% discount on your stay of 30 nights or more.
* The Encinitas occupancy tax, which is 10%, is waived for stays of 31 nights or longer.
* There’s a $100 pet fee for the additional cleaning that’s required for all stays that include any kind of dog. Please refer to the policy for more details.
* There’s an additional $20/night fee for the 5th guest, covering the wear and tear on the bungalow and sofa bedding that will be provided upon check-in.
* Stays longer than 15 nights necessitate a thorough cleaning approximately every two weeks. We will charge for the extra cleaning(s) and, if applicable, pet fees after the reservation is confirmed. Additionally, we love to keep our places spotless for all our guests. If we need to go above and beyond the usual cleaning, we will ask for reimbursement for the extra time we put in.

PET POLICY

We love dogs, and our policy is really pretty simple. If you are bringing a dog(s) we need them to be crated if left alone. If you don’t have a crate, we have ones you can use. We understand if your furry family members can’t stay off the sofa or bed; we do have special sofa blankets and/or beach towels to protect the furniture. We try our best to accommodate all our guests and can’t have dogs directly on the furniture as it’s unhygienic for others who might be more sensitive. We also incur extra cleaning fees to prepare for our next guests. Cleanliness and sanitation are very important standards to our overall business. For this, we do require an additional pet cleaning fee. Finally, we expect our guests to pick up any dog waste daily in the yards and rinse down the area where the waste was picked up.

CITY PERMIT DETAILS

City of Encinitas Permit RNTL-000206-2015 and RNTL-019918-2022. We expect our guests to keep noise down to a minimum as this house is located in a residential neighborhood and quiet times are from 10pm to 7am. We have a maximum overnight occupancy of 5 guests. Maximum of one parking space is available in the private driveway/garage around back accessed by the alley. Trash is picked up on Friday mornings and all trash and recycle goods should be placed in the containers by Thursday night as pickup is usually very early.

CLEANING POLICY

Hey there! Here’s a quick rundown of how we make sure your bungalow is spotless and ready for you.

We’re a bit of a neat freak crew, and we take pride in giving you the best possible experience. Here’s what we do to prepare the bungalow for your arrival:

First things first, we let in the fresh coastal breeze! We leave windows and doors open for a few hours so the air can flow in while we get to work cleaning. In addition to our regular routine, we disinfect all high-traffic surfaces too.

Every single bed linen piece (even mattress pads, pillow protectors, duvet covers, and blankets!) is always laundered between uses. And don’t worry, all bath linens (shower curtains and bathmats too!) are laundered between visits to keep things extra fresh.

We know what you’re thinking: our cleaning fee might seem a bit steep. We totally get it, and we’re here to break it down for you.

Our crews—from the family that cleans the living space to our partners who tackle laundry—are all paid fairly. We believe that hard work deserves an honest living!

To get into the nitty-gritty, we usually spend around 15 hours readying the space and laundering the linens (all 10 loads of them, as detailed above).

Here’s the thing: what you see and pay for is what you get. We want you to feel right at home each and every time you visit the bungalows, and a spotless space is essential to that experience.

Your cleaning fee helps us pay our professional crews and keeps our high sanitation standards up. So, thank you for helping us make the bungalows your favorite clean and cozy getaway spot!

Oh, and just a heads up, our cancellation policy for longer-term stays is different than what’s published on the booking site. If your reservation is longer than 15 nights, please note our modified policy below.

REFUND POLICY

Stays Less Than 15 Nights:

- Cancellations with More Than 30 Days’ Notice: Full refund.
- Cancellations Between 30 Days and 14 Days Before Check-In: Partial refund (50%).
- Cancellations Less Than 14 Days Before Check-In: No refund.

Stays Between 15 and 32 Nights:

- Cancellations with More Than 60 Days’ Notice: Full refund.
- Cancellations Between 60 Days and 30 Days Before Check-In: Partial refund (50%).
- Cancellations Less Than 30 Days Before Check-In: No refund.

Stays Over 32 Nights:

- Cancellations with More Than 120 Days’ Notice: Full refund.
- Cancellations Between 120 Days and 90 Days Before Check-In: Partial refund (75%).

Modern, comfortable and walkable

We were fortunate to stay here, nestled within a mini-forest of mature plants including palm trees and jade bushes. Modern and comfortable, there is thoughtful attention throughout the dwelling.The two bedrooms were great for our family. The eat-in kitchen is organized and well appointed. There is even a table for outdoor dining, and a fire pit. The neighborhood is quiet and tranquil, yet a 4-minute walk from shops and restaurants including the stellar Seaside Market. They have an unexpectedly ample selection of delicious prepared goods. Across the street from the shops is the coastal rail trail for bikes and pedestrians. It extends north and south for miles along the Coaster railroad, and beach. Access to the beach is about a 10 minute walk.We hope to return!

The bungalow in back was great. It was stocked with everything you need. I SO appreciated that. The communication with the hosts was awesome. Any questions I had were answered immediately! Lovely Bungalow

We enjoyed our stay at the bungalow. Stacey met us at check in and gave us a thorough walk thru of the place! You cannot ask for a better place to stay. Very clean, organized, and had everything that we needed. The outdoor space was so relaxing, great place to eat dinner and enjoy the evening by the firepit. The location is excellent, easy access to the interstate and to the scenic highway. There is a grocery market and several restaurants within walking distance. Keith is a great host, checking in with us to make sure everything was fine during the week. Don’t wait, reserve this place now!

Amazing Bungalow!!

My wife and 20-month-old daughter stayed at this wonderful bungalow and Keith made us feel at home right away. Within hours of being there my wife and I were already talking about coming back. Keith was extremely helpful and the property has everything you need. I mean everything you need, from health and beauty items you may have forgotten to pack to laundry detergent so you can do a load of laundry. Keith and his team have great attention to detail! The bungalow was extremely clean and the furnishings were very nice and comfortable. Amazing location right near the beach, as well as shops, restaurants, grocery stores etc. all within walking distance. The property also has beach cruisers and an Instep bike trailer for toddlers which worked great for us when we went on a family bike ride. In addition to the cruisers there are surfboards, boogie boards, wetsuits, beach chairs, and more all for your use while staying at the property! Can’t wait to return!!!!

Wonderful host and location

Keith was a wonderful host and always available if needed. A welcome basket with goodies was so sweet. Little thoughtful touches made the space special. Plenty of kitchen tools to cook at home. They even had a vitamix. Beds were very comfy. We also appreciated all the beach supplies. The area was nice and quiet. Walking distance to the market, beach and restaurants. We definitely will return!

This property was the easiest, most well-organized, supplied, and owner-communicative that we have encountered in any rental we have stayed. There was no item or detail overlooked and we appreciated the qualityl inens, furnishings, and supplies. If you are planning on preparing meals, all details from sharpened knives, has stove, grill, and complete cookware and crockery is supplied. Location to grocery store, restaurants and coffee in less than 5 minute easy walk. Thank you for such a lovely, relaxed local beach stay. We will be back.

Had a great time

Keith goes above and beyond into making sure his guests have a good time. The organization of the property is top-notch with a small booklet for suggestions of things to do and information about everything that may be needed during the stay. The house is located at the heart of Cardiff by the sea with walkable access to San Elijo beach/Cardiff state beach which makes it great for a beach getaway. The house itself is equipped with everything we needed to have a good time. Keith is a very pleasant person, made sure to show us around and give us pointers to ensure me and my parents have an excellent stay.

Relaxing stay

We enjoyed the quiet neighborhood that was conveniently located within walking distance to restaurants and the beach. We made use of the surf and boogie boards. The house was well stocked and clean. The owner was very accommodating and provided great recommendations for things to do and places to eat. Great family vacation!

Amazing stay--exceeded expectations

The property was just perfect for our family of four (2 kids ages 3 and 6). The outdoor space was excellent, every little detail was taken care of, the neighborhood was super cute, quite and walkable and the hosts were super friendly and responded right away with any questions. The best equipped rental we've stayed in ever!

Fun visit

We had a great stay here. It was our second time visiting. Walking distance to the beach and some restaurants. Clean, well equipped and great movie selection for our kids when we weren't at the beach.

Fabulous Bungalow

Stacy and Keith really thought of everything when it comes to the customer! I have never stayed at a rental that had every amenity, and we took advantage of them all. Surfboards, beach chairs, and boogie boards made for a blast at the beach. We rode the bikes to Encinitas for cocktails and dinner. Played a cut throat game of Perudo in the crows nest, and chilled by the fire catching up with our kids. We were here only for the weekend, but Stacy and Keith made it easy to pack a lot into our short stay!

Seamless. Keith is awesome and has set this up as a perfect Cardiff beach rental. Super clean and everything is well thought out. We took complete advantage of all the surf gear and bikes. Thanks for a great stay. Well he back!

Our getaway to Cardiff

From the moment we stepped into this property, we knew our stay was going to be special. Upon our arrival, we noticed a welcome basket with snacks and drinks. The garage is fully stocked with bikes, surfboards and more. We spent hours around the fire pit at night enjoying dinner and roasting marshmallows. They were very communicative throughout the process and checked in during our stay to make sure we had everything we needed. It was all the extra little details they thought to add that made our stay really memorable. We can’t wait to come back!!
