The beach view from the room was not unobstructed and barely visible. The location of the building was convenient however, the building was old and this was obvious and not worth the money they charged. The service was not good at all: they acted annoyed when we asked for more towels and to have the trash taken out on day 3 of a 5 day stay and we had asked for more TP and they never brought any so I had to go the front desk to get some. There is no housecleaning while you stay but you can ask but see above. The warm breakfast service was a nice touch but considering what we paid for the room and all the other things that lacked, it is not enough to want to go back. Also, they charge $19/day extra for parking which should be part of that ridiculous room charge.

The room was clean and nicely updated, although an older property. Elevator was a plus. A fire pit was located where it would have nice to have a hot tub but the pool looked nice. Under room parking was convenient since in a busy area. Unfortunately was not aware of the parking fee before check in. Breakfast was par for this type of hotel. Wonderful location right across from beach access and walking distance to the village and many restaurants. Overall, nice facility. Would recommend for a mid range hotel.

Fantastic location across the street from the beach. Downtown Carlsbad is walkable, just 2 blocks away. The building is older, probably built in the 1960’s but was clean. Staff was friendly and while breakfast was just OK, the dining area was clean and organized each morning. One downside is the parking cost of $19 per night.

easy early check in, across from beach, breakfast was great with ocean view. Staff was amazing because we forgot two items, one valuable and the staff returned via UPS to me instantly with my pre paid label. They actually delivered to an ups store!!! above and beyond and we are truly grateful to the front desk staff and management!!!!!

The only redeeming quality about this hotel is its location. The room itself is old and filthy. The grout on the bathroom floor is black and the all the metal in the bathroom and room (toilet flusher, sink, lamps) are all rusted. The room is just gross; especially for what they charge. I paid over $400 for one night which is criminal considering what you get. You also have to pay for parking which is mandatory when traveling with a car since parking in the area is impossible.

We loved the location. We had a view of the beach from our balcony and the hotel is literally across the street from Carlsbad park and beach. The hotel is old but nearly completely renovated. We loved the breakfast room and patio views as well. We would stay here again!
