We do not live in the Charlotte area and specifically booked this hotel due to it showing a convenient (5 min drive) to UNC Charlotte campus. Upon arriving and checking in, we found that it is actually 45 minutes from campus. This was not acceptable as we were moving our child into school and need to make several trips from the hotel to the school. We had to re book anothr hotel closer to campus and I am attempting to get a refund at this time. The hotel itself was clean (brand new), staff was great, however being new, they have no hand towels or ice machine. . If location or proximity doesn't matter to you, staying there is fine.
The facility opened in June 2025 so the property is clean and everything is new. The water pressure is non-existent and borders a trickle rather than a stream. Despite being an all suite hotel, no suite amenities are available not even upon request. So this is not ideal if you are traveling and planning to buy groceries locally and cook your own food. You will need to provide all kitchen and cleaning items yourself. No iron, coffee pot either. No hand towels. You have to dump your own trash because cleaning only occurs once every two weeks. Towel swaps are allowed but you must exchange at the front desk. The fan vents, blinds and lights in the room make for a noisy unrestful stay. Good value only if you plan on traveling with your kitchen and cleaning equipment/supplies.
Blah, unappealing, stark. âWater savingâ shower heads have no pressure. The doors are weighted to slam shut. Good luck sleeping if anyone in the hall is opening or closing doors.
The hotel is brand new on located at 1555 W Arrowhead Rd and not near IKEA. Look at this location and not what it says online to get the correct placement. It is a decent place to stay with all new fixtures. The rooms are spacious, but there are few frills. We didn't use the kitchenette area. The room smelled of marijuana, and the walls/floors were thin. Our neighbors upstairs were heavy walkers, stayed up till after 1, and were up by 8. You get what you pay for, but the area was quiet and safe, with dining options a short drive away.
The address shown is not correct. Either that or maps has not updated. Very noisy, seems like the walls are thin considering I could hear the folks above me getting it on. One of the days, there was no hot water while I showered. Also noticed a car with a busted out window, which led me to believe that itâs possible cars arenât safe there. So I made sure to park where the cameras had a view.
It's a new hotel so everything is fresh and clean. It's a nice area to get away. Love the amenties and the full size kitchen. The bathroom was nicd and clean. The staff was nice and welcoming.
