Beautiful room. Cleverly designed and comfortable. Check-in experience was deplorable. Room wasn’t ready until 5:30 and I stood in line for thirty minutes. Reception staff poorly trained and under-motivated. We were put in an upstairs room with no elevator. But the property was beautiful.

Good George Hotel

Staff were friendly, but in short supply. Great location, and property. Parking was difficult. Gluten free station was appreciated at breakfast, but otherwise the offerings were perplexing. Older room was more rustic than luxurious.

The only drawback to an otherwise brilliant stay was the last of the requested extra towels on the second day of our stay. For such an elegant and well run hotel this was a bit surprising and somewhat disappointing.

Hotel requires maintenance throughout. Balcony had a bar height table with regular height chairs. Bed had visible silhouette where people lie, needs new mattress. Ceiling in shower water damaged.

I had an incredible experience staying at The Great George. From the moment I arrived to the day I checked out, everything was simply perfect. The staff were exceptionally friendly, professional, and always ready to help with anything I needed. The room was spotless, spacious, and very comfortable — a real haven to relax in after a long day. The facilities were top-notch, and it’s clear that the hotel is maintained with a lot of care and attention to detail. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a smooth, comfortable, and enjoyable hotel experience. Truly a five-star stay in every way! A special thank you to the staff member who kindly packed me a breakfast to go when I had to leave early for a morning golf round — such a thoughtful touch that really made a difference.
