An old wooden mansion set back in a quiet location about 20 min walk into town. Very narrow, twisty stairs to all 3 floors. No emergency evacuation plan in room (wooden built, 3 storeys high in a confusing layout with narrow stairs - you need a visible plan in each room). Breakfast is okay but no choice available. Lot really worth the high price charged.

The Elmwood is an enchanting place to rest our vacation weary bodies. The Violet, the owner, was very accomodating to our ask for an extention to our stay. Both of the rooms we stayed in were very beautiful and full of memories of a past life with past occupants of the Inn. This is definitely a place I would recommend to anyone visiting the Charlottetown area

Hostess was outstanding. She readily accommodated my dietary restrictions (eggs, dairy) and served delicious breakfasts. Hotel was very quiet yet not too far from downtown Charlottetown. Would definitely stay again.

Lovely heritage property beautifully restored. The Cook's" room had a nice sitting area, great bathroom with large shower, very comfortable beds. The breakfast was delicious in the heritage dining room. Staff were very friendly.

In fact, this Inn is actually just an ordinary residence. It is old everywhere. Besides, There is no elevator. You have to lift your heavy luggages to the third floor.

We had a lovely stay. We were in the Library Room - it was very clean and had all the amenities you could need. The staff were incredibly accommodating and the chef for breakfast was fantastic!

Random selection. Amazing old villa, very Victorian decorations. Some things not working well reflecting age of home. Standard lamp in our room with loose light bulb fitting . Bathroom door handle about to fall off.

20 minutes walk to the city. Cute old room; not so sound proofing, squeaky floors, careful touching/using anything. Late check-in was fine. Entrance is on a different or back of the street or some sort.. Our Uber driver knew the inn so he knew to go around, otherwise we would have been lost at midnight in the dark. Luggage storage was strange; they offer it just to put it at a corner of the living room without any attendance. They were bothered they had to store our luggage and wait for us to pick it up. It was a strange experience - perhaps I was expecting a little more for an average bnb place. Definitely not worth $350 a night.

Check in was awesome and very accommodating as we were late. The inn was very clean and everyone was friendly. The bed is important to us and we felt that it was old and needed to be update. Also the tv was small and the audio was not clear. A minor detail but if you want to just chill in your room it’s a bit frustrating. We were on the third floor so just a note that there isvno elevator and the stairs a steep. Overall a pleasant stay and would consider staying here again.
