A unique and cozy log cabin retreat tucked away in Cleveland. Built in 1927 and restored in 1999, even city dwellers will enjoy sleeping here. Down pillows, quality sheets and fresh flowers set us us apart from other rustic getaways.

Bedroom overlooks the living area with stone fireplace. Vintage cooktop in kitchen along with modern updates of a full size refrigerator, oven and microwave.

Enjoy nature sounds of a "southern symphony" while enjoying an evening glass of wine or morning coffee on the stone patio overlooking nature.

Take a walk across the street to beautiful Fletcher Park. Explore this 80 acre paradise donated to the city by Pete and Agnes Fletcher. Dog Trot Cabin was the original home of the Fletchers. All of this is only an 8 minute drive from downtown Cleveland.

Little Cabin

This is a sweet little cabin that is studio style. I don't think it is rented very often as there were signs of being vacant for an extended time. After we dusted off some webs and opened the doors to air it out, it was fine. This is not a secluded cabin, it is smack in the middle of a neighborhood and is super close to the main streets. It is private though and enjoyed sitting on the back patio. It does have wifi but does not have a lot of channel options (3-5), so plan your stay with lots of activities! We loved looking at all the pictures of the renovation process and racoons. There was fresh flowers set out and a plate of chocolates and crackers in the fridge for us.

Perfect Stay

Booked to attend friend's wedding at Howe Farms in Birchwood. Dog Trot Cabin has the sweetest atmosphere and was the perfect place for respite. We enjoyed Grit & Grace Summer Market and the convience of Fletcher Park for walking the beautiful trails. Owner was beyond friendly, communication was easy and the fresh flowers and snacks were the perfect touch. We will be back!

Very Pleased

This was the perfect place for my husband and I. It is very cozy with nicely appointed furnishings that make this place unique and charming. I enjoyed the fresh flowers and appreciate the attention to detail the owners put into restoring the cabin. We spent a rainy winter weekend here relaxing and reading. So peaceful. We look forward to visiting again.

Second Visit to This Beautiful Property!

This is our second time visiting this beautiful property, and we loved every minute of it! It's the perfect place for rest and relaxation. Anne is amazing, and adds such wonderful extra touches to the stay - fresh flowers, music, and lights on when we arrived. It felt like coming home rather than renting a cabin. We have decided that this is going to be a yearly retreat for us!

In town getaway

This property is great it is in a great neighborhood but is hidden from the road and neighbors. The cabin was laid out well and the host had everything looking great when we arrived. We definitely look forward to staying here again.

Beautiful Place

Looks just like it does in the photos. Really beautiful, cozy property on a nice sized piece of land that my dog had a lot of fun running around on. There was also a fantastic park across the street, and all of the conveniences and stores around that you would need despite the fact that you feel far away from it all. It was an awesome getaway, and Anne was really communicative and friendly!

Charming Cottage

Dogtrot Cabin was a charming cottage with lovely details such as fresh flowers and snacks on arrival and a well stocked kitchen complete with coffee ready to brew! Refreshing Stay

The pictures and information in the listing were enticing and the property did not disappoint--it exceeded our expectations. Pleasantly and peacefully isolated but yet just minutes from all the offerings of town. Truly a special and memorable place. My wife especially liked the light show the fireflies (or lightning bugs to some) put on in the treetops at night.

Charming Cabin

Staying in this cabin was a special experience for me. I felt tucked away in a quaint and idyllic piece of the past but with every modern amenity. It’s really close to dining and things to do but when you’re on the property you feel like you’re far away from the world. I would highly recommend staying here!

The Perfect Place

WOW! Dog Trot Cabin was the perfect place for our get-away weekend. The home is fully stocked and ready for your arrival. Anne was a gracious hostess, making sure the lights were on and everything was perfect for our late night arrival. This little jewel is exactly as it appears, however the tranquil environment is the icing on the cake. The cabin is literally minutes from everything, but the location and setting make you feel as if you were in the middle of nowhere. We can't wait to make a return trip!

Nice and Quaint But Not What We Anticipated

Great cabin and very close to downtown Cleveland and 30 min to Chattanooga. Inside has a cozy feel and luv’d the fireplace. However, there were a few disappointments that would have added to a lot to the full cabin experience.

Magical Place!

I cannot rave enough about Dog Trot Cabin! Anne was a great hostess, and her cabin is truly special. You feel like you are away from it all, but it's very conveniently located. I just wish we could have stayed longer.

Amazing Getaway

The cabin is amazing. Love the photo albums which paints a picture of the history of the cabin from being almost torn down to the restoration of it. Cozy little getaway for those looking for some rest/relaxation.
