Friendly staff but nothing much more

Check in was fast. Staff was friendly. Room floor was little bit dirty and there were no room to place my things, because there were too much unnecessary stuff like artificial flowers (that were covered with dust). Towels were old and had holes in it.

A Guest House advertised as Hotel

Manager was helpful as well the staff. Hotels.com should not put this Guest House under Hotels, which leads to misleading. For this tiny room, unclean, lack of space for loading and unloading bags, is not worth for CAN $50 a day. Air condition Unit is fixed and cool breeze directly on to chest and face, which is uncomfortable.

Great staff and good budget hotel

Staff are absolutely brilliant here but the boss isn't the nicest. Boss claimed we booked a room without AC which simply isn't true, however offered us an 'upgrade' to an AC room. Room was small and the toilet leaked all over the bathroom floor it was also a little noisy due to the rooftop bar close by. AC stopped working overnight so we were forced to change rooms again. Final room was nice, a bit more space and a bit quieter on the back of the hotel. Location is good, very close to the water and we used ubers to get into the city which was reasonably cheap and took about 20-30mins. Staff were very accommodating and allowed us a late check out that lined up with our train journey so we could change and use the bathroom before leaving. It's a good hotel to stay when on a budget.

Great service!

Amazing little hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. I was fasting the first day I got there and was very touched when the management sent me some food to break my fast...without me having to ask for it. There is also a mosque close by so was very convenient for prayers. Very comfortable room.

Economical hotel in the suburbs of Colombo.

Roy the manager, was excellent for advice and guidance, couldn't do enough to help. Hotel basic and cheep. Restaurant under construction. Lots of local restaurants nearby. Good food. 300 rupees max with tuktuk from city centre. We'd stay again.

It was ok for the price.

The hotel is right near a beach, but you can't swim. The window faces an outside wall. Its about 5km to the city. The bathroom was dirty and smelled a bit. The shower was terrible. Wifi was ok speed. Good tv.

Perfect hotel

My Holiday Ticket is located in 4 Colombo. This was my second time in the hotel. They gave me a different room this time but the good quality of the room it is the same. The rooms have big bed, hot shower, TV, cable, fan, Air Cond., cattle. Hotel has an excellent location (very near to the sea), there are restaurants, mall, super market, technological center, etc. just about 10 or 15 minutes walking. The quality-price ratio is excellent. The staff of the hotel is very friendly and kindness, in especial the Manager Roy is very good in his work. Roy and the service guys help me in every way possible. I recommend this hotel without doubt.

My stay with My Holiiday Ticket was very good. People from hotel are very friendly and they gave me some advices to locate easy supermarkets, bus stops, malls, etc. They are always pending of your nececities, bringing you all the information about the stay (check-in, check-out, breakfast time, etc.) and all days they asking about your experience at the Hotel. They prepared for me an american beakfast (no buffet) but if you preffer can take a SriLankan one. The hotel has good facilities, is very clean and the pictures presented on websites are according with the real situation of the hotel. The room had AC (no extra cost) and fan, TV cable and a good internet connection. In addition, the hotel is located in a good neighborhood (very safe although I dont walk many times during the night). If you need a supermarket there is a Keells Super less than 1km (15 min or less walking), a good mall (majestic city with cinema, supermarket and restaurants) is located to 5 min in tuktuk or 10 min in bus, the bus stop is just 5 min walking and there is a ATM (if you need money) just cross the corner. Colombo Fort and Fort wailway station are less than 25 min in bus or 15 min in tuk-tuk. I was in Colombo for study, so the University of Colombo campus was very near (less than 15 min). I'm completely satisfied. The cost-benefit rate is excellent. Recommended 100%

Excellent room with all the amenities, not a big room but that's not a big deal either. The staff and owner were fantastic, bent over backwards to make our stay comfortable. Absolutely highly recommended.
