We enjoyed our stay! The apartment was very nice, the only things we had issues with was the very small shower & the memoryfoam mattress! Had a hard time getting comfortable in the bed! Plus the stairs were kinda steep (especially for someone with knee issues!) Otherwise we had a great stay!
This property was perfect for our weekend mountain getaway! It was clean, cute, and spacious. The hosts had great communication and recommendations for dining and activities nearby. Would highly recommend!
We had an amazing stay here! We had come up from Colorado Springs to see the ice castles, and this place was extremely cozy, cute, accommodating, and so much more :) we will definitely stay here again in the future!
We loved this beautiful apartment, it was perfect for us. The mattress had a thick memory foam topper that made it difficult to move around. (We just have a different bed preference) But really, an otherwise perfect stay and we would definitely book here again!
My husband surprised me with a visit to the Ice Castles in nearby Cripple Creek. After researching possible places to stay, I am glad I choose Page 1 in Victor. Victor is steeped in history with remnants of the goldrush and mining culture present abundantly throughout the town. Page 1s property is beautiful, comfortable and well thought out. The accomodation and town was perfect for me, I love a bit of quirky and old town (maybe ghost town) vibes. If you ever need to stay in the area, this is an amazing place â€
We loved our stay at this property. As others have mentioned there is a very long and steep staircase to get into the apartment. The view is phenomenal and it was great being so close to cripple creek but in a less populated area.
First and foremost, this location and general accommodations were nice, and the ad reflected it accurately. However, when we arrived at Victor; although we received a code to the room, we did not receive an address or phone number to reach our host. We attempted to get assistance from VRBO customer service to no avail. We didn't want to drive from Cripple Creek to Victor without an address. Once we finally arrived at Victor we reviewed the pictures in the VRBO ad and saw what appeared to be "the" building and drove to it. At this point, we were starving and very cold. Unfortunately due to the delay in driving to Victor we just missed the only open kitchen by 2 minutes. When we arrived at the location Jason did come out to flag us down to show us the room. Once upstairs we turned the heat on to high and wrapped ourselves in blankets while the heat started. The apartment never warmed up until almost 3 a.m. We noticed a hole in the ceiling where we felt gusts of cold air, along with the drafts from the crack in the front window and non-insulated windows. (we do realize that windows are old) We slept in our clothes, shivering. In the morning we saw the contact information on the shelf that we would have used the night before to complain about the lack of heat and the gaping hole in the ceiling.
Our feeling was, if the hosts were expecting us and the temperature was -6 degrees, why wasn't the heat on and curtains dropped in advance? If warmer weather, we would recommend.
If you're reading the reviews for this apartment, you might be thinking, "There's no way that so many 5/5 reviews are legit!" But, at least as far as I'm concerned, you sometimes do come across such a great place, and Page 1 earns its stars.
The apartment is very nicely and comfortably furnished. We cooked a couple of meals during our stay, and found all the kitchen and dining things that we needed. WIFI worked great. The bed was comfortable. The shower was a bit tight, but worked perfectly well.
We stayed at Page 1 for a couple nights in early November, with temps dropping toward the teens after dark. The electric baseboard heaters kept the place toasty warm.
Communication with the owner was easy. Our second night she sent a message about a play being staged in Cripple Creek, with an offer of a pair of free tickets.
The apartment is one block off the main street. Victor is a very small town, so there's virtually no traffic (aside from the occasional free range cow meandering through). There's a general store with an old-fashioned post office inside, and basic food and sundries should you be short of something. There's a German bakery that's good and shockingly inexpensive. There was one restaurant that was open during our stay, and also a saloon that served a limited selection of food. And there's a small liquor store. In daylight the views are spectacular, and at night it's very dark and very quiet.
Great place to visit and stay!
So charming and clean! It's beautifully decorated and with all the comforts of home in a perfect location to explore Victor, Cripple Creek, Phantom Canyon, Skaguay Reservoir with great hiking trails including Pancake Rocks and Little Grouse Mountain.
This is a nice place if you're looking to get away from the crowds and escape the brutal heat that's invaded much of the rest of the country. Page 1 is a comfortable apartment for two with many cute finishing touches to make it appear mid-modern retro. We enjoyed the hiking in the Cripple Creek/Victor area.
The place and host are excellent! They both exceeded our expectations and we enjoyed the escape from the 100 degree heat. The place is decorated really groovy and really clean. We really enjoyed our stay and look forward to making a return trip.
Exceptional property in terms of cleanliness, comfort, amenities, views and location. Fully renovated/unique property built during Colorado Gold Rush era. Town is rich in history. Great property in which to stage and explore.
Weekend get away to the Top of the world Rodeo in near by Cripple Creek. 2nd time staying in this area and with this owner. They have 2 amazing apartments for rent! This one is larger and has amazing views! Will be back and will always stay here if available.
Excellent place to stay. My mother lives in victor. I always try to find a place close by with a kitchen. I cook her a few meals and take them to her. Nice and cozy location!
This apartment was so beautifully furnished, with everything you could want. The hosts left snacks, upscale toiletries, even a first-aid kit. I'm so impressed by the attention to detail and design.
The apartment is a delight. It has everything you could need -- the kitchen is wonderful; the memory foam mattress is extremely comfortable. Jenny is a wonderful, welcoming host. I stayed on Christmas weekend, and she even put up a small Christmas tree with lights.
