This mountain escape is nestled at the base of Butler Canyon in Larkspur. Only 2 miles from historic Palmer Lake, this property has the feel of true Colorado seclusion while being only 20 minutes from Colorado Springs and 40 minutes from Denver. This historic cabin has over 100 years of history but is equipped with all the modern amenities a traveler could want. The cabin has the charm of historic mountain cabins with a fresh remodel of the interior.
We were delighted with this cabin from the moment we pulled up to the private parking spot right in front. Very clean and comfortable with everything we needed for the 3 nights we stayed. It was wonderful to have peace and quiet, while still being just 15 minutes from the client in Colorado Springs we were there to work with. 100% recommended!
We stayed 2 nights. We didnât spend much time in cabin as we had planned activities to go to. Cabin was well stocked and tastefully decorated. Loved the stain glass windows, and we felt tucked away in our peaceful cabin. Would definitely stay here again!
My husband and I really enjoyed our honeymoon at the property! The owners live just close enough so that they were available for anything that came up, and also far enough away that we felt secluded and alone. The house was clean and beautiful and such a great space for us to spend as our first week married! Any problems that did arise were out of the owner's control and we still had a very peaceful stay.
My wife and I stayed at this property to enjoy some down time after a weekend-long work engagement in Colorado Springs. It is a nice, quiet property in a beautiful valley, clean, with everything in working order.Communication with the owners was easy and promptly answered. Directions to the property were accurate and easy to follow. Plenty of room for four people with the two king beds.Room for improvement - maybe we missed it, but we should have brought slippers as the owners request no shoes in the house. There's a nice mud room which helped with this and all of our rain gear during our stay. We ended up buying cheap slippers. There are great food options nearby in Palmer Lake.My wife and I have stayed at maybe 20 different VRBO properties by now and this was one of the best if not the best we've experienced. We want to stay at this property again for our next trip to the area. We would recommend to friends and family.
This house sits against the foothills in a beautiful location. We awoke to birds singing and enjoyed breakfast on the porch. It was as lovely. The interior is great, king bed comfortable, and found the owners very kind and helpful. I would absolutely stay here again!
Super clean!!!! My girlfriend and I were looking for a quick getaway and this was everything we hoped for. The seclusion was amazing and the scenery just as amazing! We had such a fun time being in our own little space being able to just be there with each other! The host was super accommodating and for our first time doing this vrbo thing I can say that was the best experience we had!
This property was as described and more. Was a great fit for our family of 5. Large mule deer outside the cabin every night and morning. Friendly and very responsive owners. Everything was perfect and would definitely book again!
My kids and I loved staying here! It's a remote, gorgeous location -- but it was also quick to get back into town. The cabin was surprisingly roomy and very clean. There was a little bunny outside our door each morning. We had a great time.
The home and amenities were fantastic. My son and I stayed for 4 nights after spending a week in Boulder. Visited many of the local attractions and was great to come back to the house after hiking. Very clean and would highly recommend.
We had such a wonderful time at the cabin! It is very well-maintained, super clean, and cozy! Beautiful wood railings, two king beds, and even fluffy towels! Communication with the host was excellent, and instructions for arrival were very clear. My husband and father in law were here for a wedding at Spruce Mountain Ranch, which is less than 10 minutes away. Definitely would do it again! Thank you!
Perfect setting and location for our stay which included a concert at Red Rocks, a tour of Celestial Seasonings tea factory, a visit to Boulder, Colorado Springs, Manitou, Garden of the Gods, and Pikes Peak. This mountain cabin was clean, comfortable, private, and filled with all the amenities we needed. We will definitely stay there again!
This was a very nice little cabin. My brothers wedding venue was minutes away. I was very impressed with the kitchen having all needed items. The bathroom is very well kept and added bonus of washer and dryer. The rooms are very nice with very comfortable memory foam beds. Happened to be the same brand of mattress as at home! The running stream near by was very relaxing. Can not recommend this place enough!
My husband and I stayed here 8 days for our 20th anniversary! It was perfect in every way!! The cabin was spotelss and very cozy!! The bed was very comfortable Located in a very secluded area (which we loved) but also close to restaurants and stores. Ashley was a gracious host and answered our questions quickly! I highly recommend mountain escape!!
A little hidden gem. My husband and I enjoyed our three night stay. The quiet was just what we wanted. We did do some hiking and sightseeing and enjoyed getting to know the Palmer Lake and Monument area!
This little cabin was absolutely stunning! Very quaint and in an amazing location. Palmer lake is only a couple miles away which is an awesome little place to check out. We came to town for a wedding at Spruce Mountain Ranch and this was a very convenient location only a few miles from the venue. If youâre looking to visit the area, I highly recommend a stay at this amazing cabin!
