Meet Your Home Away from Home

Our beautiful four-bedroom home is secluded on a quiet street, a 5-min drive to the Proud Lake Recreation Area, and close to lots of different areas in Southeast Michigan! Swim, enjoy a picnic, or relax with only a 9 minute walk to our lake with private access down the street. Enjoy an evening glass of wine outside on our deck or cook a big dinner in our gorgeous entertaining living room + kitchen area and share it with the whole family. Grill out on our deck and relax in our basement area, complete with a big wall-mounted TV for your favorite movies! Not only a short drive to downtown Milford, but also a quick drive to areas like West Bloomfield (10 min), Novi (20 min), Northville (30 min), and Plymouth (30 min). Complete with a large two-car garage and plenty of extra parking, this is the perfect spot for any gathering or getaway!

Enjoy high-speed Wi-Fi, Amazon Fire smart TVs, French Roast coffee pods + Keurig, a Nespresso machine and Nespresso pods, Memory Foam beds, fresh linens, in-home high-tech washer/dryer, Solimo bath products, and a fully-equipped kitchen. Message us if there’s anything we can help with!

The ground level to our home is located up just a few steps once entering the front door. A bedroom and full bathroom with standup shower along with a small office, the living room and the kitchen are located on the ground floor. Down the steps, to the lower level, the finished basement has 3 bedrooms and a bathroom along with a second living room.

Please note that the house is a split-level home, so a couple of the lower level/ basement bedrooms have slightly lower ceilings.

99% of guests are visiting family, friends, on a work trip, or just exploring town. For anyone who intends to have a party, disturb the neighborhood, or in any other way violate our house rules, we want to make clear that:

We have a zero-tolerance policy for this. We have noise sensors that alert us if decibel levels pass a certain threshold, and we have unfortunately had to ask guests to leave for violating this rule. Being a good neighbor of the city and the block we are on is very important to us.

We have sensors to detect indoor smoking (nicotine and marijuana) and have an automatic $750 fine for violations, and have also had to ask guests to leave early for violating this rule.

We have a garage that fits 2 cars, with room for 2 - 3 additional cars in our driveway. We are located on a safe, quiet street which also provides plenty of additional parking if you need it!

Entry

The house is fully accessible via a YALE smart lock at the front door and on the back door. To access the house, enter the code we provide in your reservation check-in instructions, and press the CHECK to unlock.

When leaving, enter that same code followed by the CHECK mark and the deadbolt will close. The locks will also auto-lock after one minute if you forget to lock.

Extra Sleeping Arrangements

Pullout couch: Underneath the horizontal seat you will find two fabric handles. Pull them out from under the couch and raise up the extra mattress section from underneath the couch. Remove the couch pillows to make space for two!

Extra Linens: Underneath the chaise section of the couch you will find four bath towels and four hand towels, two pillows, a comforter, and two sets of sheets and pillowcases.

Air Mattress: Designed for camping, our air mattress is extra-sturdy and provides a wonderful sleeping space for two. To inflate, please plug in the pump and wait for it to charge. Once the light on it is solid (not blinking), unplug the pump, insert the end into the air mattress, and flip the switch to inflate.

We love hosting folks, so we want to be as respectful as possible to our wonderful neighbors. Since we’re in a quiet neighborhood, we do ask that you follow a few easy rules:

- No parties & no overnight guests without prior approval. If you’re looking to host a small gathering, that’s probably ok but please let us know.
- Respectful, quiet volume, particularly after 9 pm.
- Please leave your shoes at the door.
- No pets please, as many of the guests we host have allergies.
- No smoking - also, don't discard your cigarettes in house trash cans. They get stinky.
- If you break or damage something, please let us know and arrange for its replacement or repair.
- Do not leave any food out that will attract uninvited pests. Our home is pest-free and we intend to keep it that way with your help.

While access to public transportation is not easily available from our house, UBER and LYFT run consistently in the area and are quick, cheap, and accessible options to get anywhere in the SE Michigan areas!

When we arrived the driveway was full of snow where cars got stuck.The internet was down and couldn't get in with our code. We got in after a phone call to mana. However we had no internet for 2 days. Otherwise, place was nice and clean

Forgot some clothes in a drawer

The property was exactly what we needed for the weekend. However my wife left some clothes in a drawer. The property manager said he had them and would mail them to us for a $25 fee that I agreed to. We never received the clothes.

Extreme Disappointment

No communication with this management company, I believe it was Vanguard. What a joke. House was dirty and smelled like dirty stagnant mop water. Nothing was done about this. I asked for a refund, and was basically told no. We ended our stay in a Hotel due to the disappointment of this place. I've traveled my whole life and must say from start to finish this was horrible. We will never book through this management company again.

Great owners to work with

We were the first guests to stay at this property, literally arriving only a few hours after the last furniture was moved in. There were a few startup issues, but the owners were very easy to work with and developed mitigations and plans to get everything fixed and in a good spot. It's a beautifully refinished house that worked extremely well for my family. Lots of space to spread out and be together or be apart.
