Great spot, unique and charming. Would definitely stay here again and recommend. Areas for improvement: security and presentation of food. Breakfast was good, but my omelette was dumped on top of my home fries and the sweets were served on the same plate as savory. Nit picky perhaps, but hopefully well received critique.

Our stay couldn’t have been better! We were met by Sharon who checked us in and showed us our room. I mentioned that it was our anniversary and she left a bottle of wine for us! The room was immaculate. We had all the comforts of home. Our king size bed was amazing. Breakfast was prepared by Chris and he really outdid himself. The staff was very accommodating. I hope we have the opportunity to stay again! Thank you, Black Dolphin Inn!

The atmosphere throughout the inn is relaxed and inviting, striking the perfect balance between casual beach vibes and refined elegance. What truly sets the Black Dolphin Inn apart is the outstanding hospitality. The staff were friendly, attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable about the local area. Their recommendations made my trip even more memorable, from hidden-gem restaurants to the best sunrise spots along the water. Breakfast was another highlight—fresh, delicious, and clearly prepared with care. Starting the day on the breezy porch with a gourmet meal felt like a treat every morning. The location is ideal—tucked away just enough to feel private and serene, yet close to everything New Smyrna Beach has to offer. The entire experience was lovely!!! From the cleanliness of the room, to the friendly and helpful staff & the walking distance to canal street with cute restaurants and shops. I will come back and would highly recommend!

I traveled from Kentucky with my 3 younger children to spend time with my college son. I slipped upon this hidden jewel. Our rooms were spotless and our complimentary breakfast was amazing. I have to also brag about the staff for a bit. Everyone we encountered was nice and polite and made sure our stay was wonderful. Mrs. Sheila was the sweetest and even offered to help my son if he ever needed her help after I traveled back home. Folks like this are rare and I will definitely come back and recommend Black Dolphin Inn to family and friends in the future.
