You won't want to miss the chance to stay in this wonderful home-away-from-home near Terry Peak. Black Hills Hideaway is one of those cabins you'll reminisce about all year until you come back and stay again. This charming cabin is perfectly located within walking distance to Terry Peak and is in the heart of the Northern Black Hills recreation corridor. You can be skiing or snowmobiling in minutes, cruising or hiking through Spearfish Canyon within 10 minutes, or gambling in Deadwood within a short 10 minute drive. There won't be a problem finding things to do nearby while still enjoying the peace and quiet of the property.

After coming back from your daily adventures, you'll enjoy coming back to your very own cabin. This newly renovated cabin is complete with an open kitchen perfect for entertaining guests. Hardwood flooring to set the mood of being in your favorite cabin, vaulted ceilings with large windows to the outside and a gas fireplace to kick your feet up at after long days on the trails. There's garden doors that open up into the outdoor partially covered deck space with great privacy, a grill, and hot tub. The lower level is perfect for gathering with a family room with walk-out access. You'll have no problem watching wildlife stroll by as you enjoy some time with your family/friends. There's a queen bed in each of the bedrooms and a loft that includes 4 single beds. You'll also have access to the oversized 1 car garage for your vehicle or motorcycles/snowmobiles ready for those adventurous days. Overall it was a good stay! Location is good, area is gorgeous and the garage was a big plus. The AC doesn't hold up well when its hot out but it's probably meant to be more of a wintertime spot as it's near the ski lodges. We did find a few oscillating fans that helped and nothing to really complain about. Would stay here again!

Beautiful cabin on a beautiful mountain!

Hard to ask for more—a beautiful cabin with plenty of room and beds for everyone on a beautiful mountain with sweeping views! And with the quintessential hot tub on the covered porch, you are left wanting for nothing.

Very nice place that is close to the ski resort. Overall thoroughly enjoyed it and would stay again. Just needs minor maintenance completed for next stay. Bathroom downstairs needs some draino in the shower. And the kitchen needs a new set of kitchen knifes that are sharper than a chopstick.

Amazing Stay

Myself and all my children stayed there for a weekend and absolutely loved it! It had everything needed and more. We enjoyed the hot tub, went sledding and warmed up by the fire after a full day of skiing!! Would definitely stay here again!

Quiet oasis

Great spacious cabin.

The cabin is nicely updated. We had everything we needed during our stay for cooking meals. The housekeeping missed a few things before our stay, but overall very clean. Location is perfect. Views are great. This is our second time renting this cabin.

Summer stay

There were lots of options for sleeping arrangements given the various ages of children in our group (2-10 years). The kitchen was very well stocked. Having a washer and drier was very helpful and the hot tub was also very nice. We had some issues with temperature regulation when it was warm outside; fortunately, some storms rolled in and we were able to keep things cool with open windows.

Girls Getaway

This location was perfect for our girls' getaway weekend. The house is beautiful and had everything we needed. In addition to the house, we also enjoyed the deck and hot tub. Although we didn't ski this weekend, we did WALK to Terry Peak to watch the pond skimming fun! Would definitely stay here again.

Great family ski trip

This cabin had everything we needed. The kitchen was well stocked with all the utensils and pans we needed, as well as many small appliances. The kids enjoyed the loft and the big basement room! The cabin was super close to terry peak, but due to winter road conditions we chose to drive instead of walk with all our ski gear.

Everyone had a fantastic time. The cabin was very comfortable and had lovely surroundings. Only feedback is that they may want to get washcloths as some folks use those and there are none.

Spacious cabin a short distance from ski resort

Our family of 5 really enjoyed this home away from home in close proximity to the Terry Peak ski resort. We had planned on another family joining us, but they weren't able to. We had plenty of room and everything we needed for our 3 night stay. We cooked breakfast and supper at the cabin each day. Hot tub just out the front door was great after a chilly day on the mountain. Warming features in bathrooms were appreciated.

Family Fall Break Getaway

Great option for (2) families visiting the Black Hills for Fall Break. Weather was spectacular and we managed to find many of the destinations around the area. Amenities were perfect for what we were looking for. Cooked breakfasts, packed lunches for excursions, and grilled out on the deck at night. Kids loved the loft, and parents loved the comfy beds and hot showers. Rode bikes to Deadwood one morning for breakfast on the Mickelson trail, all downhill. Managed to ride back up, but just once was enough. Would be great for ski season.

Wonderful Cabin!

We stayed here for our honeymoon, and it was nothing short of amazing! Plenty of space, super clean, nice location, and the hot tub was a wonderful perk! Hopefully we’ll be back in the future with our family!! Thank you for allowing us to stay here!
