Oceanfront Property Private Beach on Nantucket Sound Sleeps 6


Our property is located on the oceanfront in Dennisport , only steps from the warm waters of beautiful Nantucket Sound where you can relax on our private, sandy beach. You are at the beach so no need to pay for parking and no need to wake early to get your parking spot at a local beach. Have your morning coffee on our communal deck while watching the waves and smelling the salt air. Your vacation is all about your leisure. It is a perfect location for families because there are no streets to cross. There are plenty of new beach chairs, umbrellas, beach toys, and boogie boards available to add to your fun and enjoyment.
Dennisport is well situated on the Cape and our condo is all new construction with coastal furnishings. The condo is located on the first floor and the master bedroom features a queen bed and large walk-in shower. The other bedroom has two twin beds with another full bath. There is a queen size pull out couch. Please note that linens, including sheets and towels, are not provided. There is a local linen rental service which our guests use. The kitchen has granite countertops and stainless steel appliances. There are 2 TV's, AC, and WiFI. There is a communal grille on the property for guests to use. Many fine restaurants are within walking distance. Children are welcome but pets are not. There are many family oriented activities other than playing on the beach, including paddle boarding, kayaking, paddle boats and many sightseeing tours such as whale watching or boat tours to watch the seals frolic in Chatham Harbor. Or, you can simply walk the shore and pick shells to be painted and treasured. There are 2 mini golf ranges and a golf resort within 10 minutes of the condo. You should bring your binoculars for birdwatching if you want to explore the many nature trails in the area. Salt water fisherman can catch stripers anywhere along the shore and the jetties that protect the Sound. We are two miles from the Cape's longest and best bike trail which takes you from Dennis to Provincetown. The bike trail is a scenic shady path which will take you through the sand dunes of the National Seashore. Provincetown is an artist's community with eclectic and bohemian shops, art galleries and museums, beautiful beaches, and a fun day trip. You may feel like traveling by ferry to Martha's Vineyard or Nantucket to explore these 2 very different island communities. And did we mention the many ice cream shops, including the famous Sundae School. There are so many and we suggest that you sample all of them.

Property was okay. Some repairs needed: jacuzzi tub didn’t hold water, back burner on stove didn’t work.Also had Ring Camera in Kitchen. Though only scanned front door and part of kitchen, made family uncomfortable.Pictures of unit outside need to include entire facility. Current pics give impression that unit faces ocean, it doesn’t.Private beach is great.

Family Getaway

Check in and parking was easy and the condo felt very spacious even for our family of 5. The AC worked great even in the August heat! This location can’t be beat. Beautiful views and beach just steps away and plenty of restaurants and shops 5 mins from the condo. The neighborhood was also great for morning walks. Loved that the kitchen was fully stocked with odds and ends- seriously anything you could possibly need- and cleaning supplies and paper goods were readily available. The only downside is that there are only two burners on the stove and a microwave/convection oven instead of a regular oven. We just planned meals accordingly and this was not an issue for us at all, but something to consider if you plan to cook a lot or when meal planning. We used the condo as a jumping off point for places we love to visit in the cape, but could have easily set up and not left the condo for the entire week. We loved our stay here and hope to book again next summer!

My family and I were very excited for our first beach vacation in Dennis Port, and Susan and Mark's condo exceeded our expectations in every way! It was spacious enough for our family of four, including an 11- and 13-year-old, to live comfortably, and everything was clean and well-stocked. The beds were very comfortable and each room had its own AC unit. The location was incredible, with a breathtaking view of the ocean each time you walked out the door! We really appreciated the beachy decor and the convenient supply of beach chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards, and toys. It was nearly effortless to spend the day - or even just a few hours or minutes - on the beautiful private beach!Speaking of the beach, it was just as advertised! Being a private beach for only guests of Old Wharf Village, it was never crowded, so there was never an issue finding plenty of space for our family to spread out. The water was relatively calm and surprisingly warm! We also loved the deck overlooking the beach - the perfect spot for our morning coffee! There's also a picnic table so you can turn any takeout into a waterfront dining experience :)My family instantly fell in love with the neighborhood and the entire surrounding community. There are so many great small businesses and restaurants within walking and biking distance to explore! We really appreciated all of Susan and Mark's dining and activities recommendations and took advantage of several.We loved our stay and can't wait to return!

Short and sweet

I say short and sweet, because our stay was just that. We were only there for the weekend to attend a concert, but the condo was nice and in a great location. Our son loved the all the beach toys available for this experience, along with the games and puzzles too. My wife, myself and my mother enjoyed the beach access and the beach accessories that come with the condo. Susan is very transparent and we loved how flexible she was with us. Our Saturday was a complete wash out, but she let us stay past our check out time to enjoy the condo and beach a little bit longer. We were very appreciative of that! We would definitely stay again!

Cape Cod getaway

Location and owner were great. Very quick to respond with questions and went over and above in helpfulness. Very happy with them. But, walls were very thin and it was hard to sleep between the excessively loud neighbors, very inadequate shades bringing in full brightness at 4:30 am and uncomfortable twin mattresses. So we didn’t sleep well all week. The weather was lousy, which is certainly nobody’s fault and a big bummer, but we made the best of it. The owner was helpful in making suggestions on what to do. In all, it wasn’t perfect, but the location was great and the owners were helpful.

We both wanted to get a glimpse of Cape Cod for a few days and just relax and this location was awesome for that purpose! Even though the weather wasn’t all that great, we were able to take a walk on the beach just outside our VRBO!

Great Beach Property

We had a wonderful stay at this property. Everything was clean & comfortable. The private beach was a highlight, and having private bathrooms in each bedroom was really nice. Lots of chairs & extras for the beach were provided. The tv worked with a basic cable package. If you stay here, I highly recommend the Ocean House for dinner. It’s a bit pricey but delicious & right around the corner. The shops in Dennis Port were cute & we drove down to Chatham to see the lighthouse, and do even more shopping. We wish we could’ve stayed for longer, but we had limited time on this trip. Things to expect if you book this place. It doesn’t come with linens, and you have to schedule & pay separately for your own towels & sheets. This was something I have never encountered before, having stayed at many VRBO homes on the west coast, but I think it’s a common thing on the cape. Susan communicated right away with that information & the man who owns the linens rental company was extremely kind and helpful. Susan also communicated very quickly and provided a lot of information on different things to do and see in the area, which was great.

The perfect stay!

Planning a trip with my parents for their 51st anniversary was no easy task! My father is handicapped and has extremely limited mobility in his feet- he walks with leg braces and specialized shoes, and uses a mobility scooter outside of the house. My mother has always dreamed of visiting Cape Cod, but her anxiety around planning such a trip has always prevented her from doing so. I spent months researching and planning, and, of course, finding the right VRBO was imperative. This spot was perfect. Being on the first floor with access to handicapped parking and a shower my dad was able to use was perfect. The location being half way between where we needed to be to go to Martha’s Vineyard for a day, and half way to visit P-town, and 20-ish minutes from Barnstable and Yarmouth was ideal! On top of all this, the host was amazing! She provided so much insight and helpful recommendations that enhanced our trip even further!! We did not spend much time at the beach area, but my mother and I walked out every morning to say hello to the water before heading out for the day, and sat out at night to watch the stars- one night we both saw a shooting star fly across the sky! I highly recommend this location and I’m grateful for the memories I got to take back home with me to NC!

Good time!

We had a good time staying here. The property is very well taken care of. It is indeed just a short walk to the beach which is fairly large and not eroded like some other beaches on Old Wharf Road. Having access to the hosts beach chairs and umbrella was a nice bonus! We would definitely stay here again!

Great condo that is a hop, skip and a jump from the beach which is private. Susan and Mark are great hosts who are very responsive to any question you may have before and during your stay. Beach chairs, games and misc supplies are all provided for your convenience and comfort. You will appreciate the beach decor theme throughout the condo. The welcome packet that is provided has valuable information that will help enhance your stay. You are in walking distance or a short drive to restaurants and shops. Holy Cow Ice Cream Cafe is a must visit where waffle cones are made fresh for each order! Full transparency, there were some rumblings from the unit upstairs but that would NOT deter me from staying again. My compliments to the hosts.

Great Stay!

Condo was clean and well appointed! The beach area was lovely and private. Beds were comfy. Only thing missing was washer and dryer but not a major issue as there are local laundromats nearby. The Ocean House is a must visit! We very much enjoyed our stay!

Great Place!

We cannot say enough good things about Susan and Mike’s condo. From the ease of checking in and throughout our stay you could tell how much thought was put into the setup and supplies within the condo. Clean, comfortable furniture, and all the comforts of home. Everything you need to cook is available, if you want to, if not Susan provides a whole list of restaurants to check out in the area. Highly recommend the Ocean House! Well in advance of the trip Susan shared tips for things to do and places to see while in Cape Cod. As a first time visitor, and someone who has to have a plan for vacation, this made it easy to prepare. We did so much throughout the week and still made it to the beach at the condo every day. The location made it perfect for day trips to Provincetown and was an easy hop to many of the other towns. This was the first vacation none of us were ready to come home. We’re hoping to make another trip next summer and see all the things we didn’t get to see the first go round!
