Separate lock of entrance. No Stairs. Secure and easy self check-in is available. This beautifully decorated upscale getaway occupies what is best described as a converted walkout basement. Situated on an acre with a seasonal creek and adjoining wooded open space. Arguably the closest wooded lot to downtown Denver.

Red Rocks. Lot's of folks ask about Red Rocks. This unit is close. I have Red Rock tips for a great experience. Ask me about secret parking spot and you can be home in 20 minutes.

Worth noting:
1) The floor above you is occupied. Expect some 1950's floor creaking personality from footsteps & other muffled noises. Similar to hotel noises but definitely worth the luxury feel and all the other features.
2) This unit does not have a true full kitchen. You have a full sized refrigerator. Microwave. Toaster oven, induction cook-top, large sink, all the utensils, pots, plates, glasses forks. It should meet your needs unless you want to cook a full gourmet meal.

Fantastic place to stay for a Denver/Mountain vacation. Close to downtown and Red Rocks with easy access to points West. John is a gracious host and all of his recommendations are on point. Close to the city but quiet and peaceful. We enjoyed our stay in this cute 2 bedroom suite. Check-in and out were simple and contactless. The steam shower was amazing once we figired it out. Lots of lounge space for relaxing after exploring the metro area. Would stay here again.

Great house and John is an amazing property owner. The communication was excellent. We came here for a concert at Red Rocks and this house was in a convenient place to get there. Near lots of restaurants and shopping, but the house is in a quiet neighborhood. Best of both worlds. Definitely recommend.

Best VRBO and Host Ever😍

My husband and I drove up from Florida to stay at John’s place. Not only was it gorgeous, super convenient, and beyond comfortable, John was AMAZING! He gave great recommendations, checked in on us, was super communicative, and even helped us when I got our car stuck in the snow from an unexpected storm. We have stayed at this location twice now and will return again when we get back to Denver. John is very good to deal with -- we had to change the reservation dates and John worked with us on that. The downstairs is clean and spacious and comfortable. John provides a lot of useful information about local neighborhoods, attractions, and restaurants. Highly recommended.

The soul that sees beauty may sometimes walk alone

Took a solo trip for a 2 day concert at Red Rocks and some exploring in the Denver area. John was very helpful in providing some great suggestions on food, things to do, etc. The property is well kept and clean. About 20 min from red rocks, short drive to Garden of the Gods, Idaho Springs, Mt. Evans and much more! The central location and steam shower were my favorite things about this property. The bed was comfortable, there was plenty of off street parking, and the property was quiet. The unit is spacious with plenty of seating and a small kitchen. Check in and out was easy and the house rules were clearly outlined in a nice binder provided by the property owner. Be sure to check out this binder for great exploring and restaurant ideas. One thing to mention is that there are 3 units on this property. I rented the downstairs unit. People were in the other 2 units but I wouldnt have known if a car wasnt parked in the driveway. This is a perfect location for Red Rocks. I was able to explore an area each day of my trip, make it back to shower and change, and head out to red rocks for my concert with plenty of time on both nights. Also about 30-45 minutes from the airporrt, Idaho Springs, 45 min- 1 hr to Mt. Evans, and 1-1.5 hrs to Colorado Springs John is an excellent host, his property inviting, and the location is superb. I recommend anyone visiting the Denver area that is looking for a convienent, centralized location to consider this property for your next stay

Perfect Place

My husband and I took our daughter to the area to celebrate her 20th birthday at a concert at Red Rocks. This was a perfect location. John sent info with his "local tips" and they are awesome! We ate at several of his suggested local spots and didn't have a bad meal or eat at a single national chain. This place was awesome and in a quiet, nice neighborhood. Self check-in was simple and the place had everything we needed. Book this place today, get a burger at Lakewood Grill, grab breakfast at Rupert's, and coffee from Novo! We also took a day to drive to Garden of the Gods as suggested by John and rented e-bikes. What a fun day we had admiring God's creation.

Cute little stay

A cozy basement that worked perfect for our needs. Positive vibes. It was way bigger than we needed. Quiet. Shower was a plus! Some rules to follow, but I totally get that people dont respect things or property that isnt theirs. Lots of tips and insights from host. It was really a pleasure staying here. Outdated Pictures

Listing pictures are outdated - would have been good to know. Instead of big red chair, there is another large rounded sofa, 2 chairs, and coffee table. Office now has one desk pushed against a wall and the other wall has low cabinets. The kitchen has been remodeled. It has a full-size refrigerator (without an icemaker) and a wide sink. There is a toaster oven, microwave, regular coffee maker (no pods), and a hot plate and pans in the cabinets. Not a lot of glassware, but dishes for four. No DW. I stayed with a roommate and we each had a room. My mom and son joined us partway through and each slept on a large sofa with room to spare. Great WiFi. Nice linens. Quiet area. The parts you “use” were clean, but there were cobwebs and the carpet in the King bedroom was wet from all the rain. There were some oddities you might/might not care about: - The house has 3 VRBO rentals: upstairs and you hear walking noise, and an RV parked on the side of the house. Enough parking though. - You can completely secure it, but there are a LOT of doors in it that you have to lock from the inside. - There is a door that can be locked by the upstairs people or cleaners that locks you out of the house. Luckily owner responded within 10 minutes. -Shower nozzles are hard to use. - a/c vents (no control) provide some air, but likely not super cool on hot days. 1 portable fan in each room. - Amazon Alexa listening(?!?!) - not enough paper products for 5 night stay for 2 people

Centralized Location and Quiet

The Basement Apt was perfect for us as we ventured north, south, west and a tic east. Visited Pikes Peak, Estes Park, Mt Evans Idaho Springs. All within 2 hours. Place was clean and had all major necessities. Simple and efficient. Owner was very accomodating and respectrd our privacy. Great little efficiency. Rich and Lisa
