Our 4BR/2.5BA home has two bedrooms, a full bathroom, the living room, and kitchen on the main floor. The master bedroom, bathroom, and closet are located on the 2nd story up a full flight of stairs. Another bedroom along with the foosball table / hangout area, pullout couch, office, laundry & mechanicals, and a half bathroom are located down a full flight of stairs in our finished basement.

99% of guests are visiting family, friends, on a work trip, or just exploring town. For anyone who intends to have a party, disturb the neighborhood, or in any other way violate our house rules, we want to make clear that:
We have a zero-tolerance policy for this. We have noise sensors that alert us if decibel levels pass a certain threshold, and we have unfortunately had to ask guests to leave for violating this rule. Being a good neighbor of the city and the block we are on is very important to us.
We have sensors to detect indoor smoking (nicotine and marijuana) and have an automatic $750 fine for violations and have also had to ask guests to leave early for violating this rule.

We are located on a quiet, secluded side street and there is both plenty of street parking as well as our one-car garage and our driveway which fits 2-3 additional vehicles depending on size (but which do block the garage). Please note there is no overnight parking allowed in Berkley, so if parking overnight, you'll need to park in our driveway / garage.

The house is fully accessible via a YALE smart lock at the front door and on the side door. To access the house, enter the code we provide in your reservation check-in instructions, and press the CHECK to unlock.
When leaving, enter that same code followed by the CHECK mark and the deadbolt will close. The locks will also auto-lock after one minute if you forget to lock.
Extra Sleeping Arrangements

Pullout Couch: Underneath the horizontal seat you will find two fabric handles. Pull them out from under the couch and raise up the extra mattress section from underneath the couch. Remove the couch pillows to make space for two!
Air Mattress: Designed for camping, our air mattress is extra-sturdy and provides a wonderful sleeping space for two. To inflate, please plug in the pump and wait for it to charge. Once the light on it is solid (not blinking), unplug the pump, insert the end into the air mattress, and flip the switch to inflate. You’ll find extra linens and towels in the pullout couch storage compartment as well.
Extra Linens: Underneath the chaise section of the couch you will find four bath towels and four hand towels, four pillows, a comforter, and extra sets of sheets and pillowcases for the couch and air mattress.

- No parties & no overnight guests without prior approval. If you’re looking to host a small gathering, that’s probably ok but please let us know.
- Respectful, quiet volume, particularly after 9 pm.
- Please leave your shoes at the door.
- No pets please, as many of the guests we host have allergies.
- No smoking - also, don't discard your cigarettes in house trash cans. They get stinky.
- If you break or damage something, please let us know and arrange for its replacement or repair.
- Do not leave any food out that will attract uninvited pests. Our home is pest-free and we intend to keep it that way with your help.

Cozy but spacious
Our family stayed here for a little over a week while some restoration was done in our home in Bloomfield Hills. We have 3 kids aged 7, 5 and 3 and it was perfect for all of us versus staying in a hotel. The rooms are nicely designed each with a tv and comfortable bed and bedding. Very clean as well. The host was easy to communicate with and got back very quickly if there were any questions at all.
