Avis pour Santorini Pool House Wilton Manors Walk to the Dr.
This home is a short drive to the beach, las olas and many great restaurants and attractions. It is clean, comfortable and spacious. We truly enjoyed our stay.
Group of 6 staying 3 nights before a cruise. Great walking distance to Wilton Manor shopping and night life.
Clean and tidy. Online pics represented place well. Some recent reviews pointed at flaws that we didnât notice.
It is a rental on VRBO, so we accepted some degree of wear and tear.
Very pleasant stay overall, we would stay again.
The location of the property is perfect - couldnât ask for better. What was disappointing was spending over $4000 for the week to walk into badly stained furniture, beat up walls and floors and bent curtain rods. It was also hard getting enough hot water to take a comfortable shower. The ad is misleading in that the actual property is no where as pristine as it appeared in the ad. For the same amount of money, wish I would have stayed beachfront in a Marriott or something different. Something actually clean and not quite so beat up.
We were promised an early check-in and arrived at the appointed time only to find the cleaners there. The host was apologetic.
When we checked in, we discovered a very tired property that did not match what the photos showed. Although the house was clean, the furniture was filthy! We had to sit on towels throughout our stay. One chair looked like someone had an unfortunate accident! We were meant to stay over Christmas and ultimately found it too depressing to stay.
Paint was chipped in various places, mold in the main shower, etc. Chipped up patio furniture. The pool was filthy when we arrived but someone did come to vacuum it. Although it wasn't useable (unless for a cold plunge) as it wasn't heated.
The kitchen was very poorly stocked. No dish soap, no salt and pepper, no olive oil (we're accustomed to having at least the basics). The BBQ starter didn't work and the lighter was out of fluid. On principle, we didn't buy one. We were so frustrated at that point.
I will say, there was coffee and artificial sweetener (we used neither and brought in our own) and when we called the host to indicate there was no dish soap (dishwasher was not useable, as advertised), he was very responsive.
However, when I wrote him to say we were going elsewhere for our last 3 nights because we were so disappointed and requested a partial refund, it was radio silence.
Unless the host goes in to do a refresh, I would scroll on past the photos. Not at all worth the price.
This property is absolutely beautiful. I had to work and couldn't enjoy it as much but my kids had the best time ever. It was truly a staycation for them. Alex was very accommodating and thr decor in this place was impeccable (I got ideas for my own home decor :-)
I cannot thank Le Chateau enough for allowing me the opportunity to travel with my dog. I have a wonderful senior dog that I was unable to leave with anyone. She is well behaved but does not do well, emotionally, when we leave her with other family members for extended periods of time. The interior of the house is exactly as depicted in the pictures. The house is immaculate! They were pretty clever in the interior design. Everything can be easily clean and there are not many decorative items that can be broken. The plate and glassware are quality pieces from Crate and Barrel. The washer and dryer are newer, with the washer being a top loader. Very user friendly!
A few things I would keep in mind for this rental. There is no full-length mirror. To remedy this, I want to the local Target, and for $7.85, I purchased a basic full-length mirror. Immediately upon getting it back to home, I broke it trying to maneuver it out of the trunk. Ugh! Additionally, we worked remotely most of the week from that lovely giant round table, it was a terrific workspace. It could have been enhanced by a tv on the wall next to the table. It would have been nice to have had the tv there while cooking and working. But really, it's just a suggestion. The tv in the back porch/den was sufficient. We cooked a lot while we were there and the kitchen, while not large, is set up nicely. There were no cookie sheets available, so if you foresee yourself cooking, you might want to purchase one.
I was slightly disappointed with was the condition of the backyard. The cabana featured in the pictures, is now torn and dirty/moldy. The two loungers featured in that same picture are both broken. They have been stepped on and now have holes in them. The small, round table outside has chipping paint, so we purchased a tablecloth to cover and smooth out the top. The pool itself was lovely, and the pool guy came by while we were there. The backyard is not as polished as it is in the pictures. A half-day spruce up is really all that's needed to be done and they might be wise to wait until after the construction next door.
Nothing can be done about the construction. Workers arrived at 1 pm playing loud, Mexican music until 5ish. It didn't bother us too much. It will be done soon.
Korey, one of the managers, met me on my arrival and was very welcoming. I cannot thank this group enough for entrusting me with their house so I could travel with Katie!
Overall, it was a great place to stay! Alex was very attentive and when the light bulbs werenât working in some of the bedrooms, he sent Korey over immediately who was super nice and helpful! The pool was great and the kitchen has basic tools. We didnât cook as we were only there three days, but if you planned on cooking, I think it would be okay for simple cooking. Overall, we would stay again!
Our group had a wonderful stay at the Santorini House! The location is a nice 5-10 minute leisurely walk to the main drive. The home is located in a school district, and felt quiet and private. The house was perfect for our stay with three bedrooms (comfy beds) and two baths. Although we ate all of our meals out, we found the kitchen to be well stocked for food and beverages. Pool area in the back is relatively small but there are a few lounge chairs, with an additional shaded seating area to enjoy yourself - we had a few nice mornings soaking up the sun back there. We found the home to be a great value for our four adults who were sort of in-and-out and used it as a jumping off spot. We would surely stay here again on our next visit to Wilton! Thank you!!
