Historical charm, incredible downtown location, and remarkable details make this home a rare find for your short-term lodging needs. Built in 1929, Southern Charm is a cozy craftsman style cottage nestled in the middle of the desirable Oakwood-Hillcrest neighborhood in Hickory North Carolina. Southern Charm is located conveniently near downtown restaurants and attractions, Lenoir-Rhyne University, and Frye Hospital with easy access to US-321 and I-40. Our home is a 2 bd/1ba and a sofa bed.

Hosts are available via through your booking app messaging and checking is with keypad to arrive at your convenience.

Very nice Oakwood-Hillcrest neighborhood close to downtown.

explored Hickory

The house was perfectly situated for me to explore areas in and around Hickory. Quick and easy 5 minute drive to Hickory Lake Park to walk my dog and ride my bike on the off-road trails. 20 minute drive to Bakers Park and Riverbend Park for more trail walking. House was pleasantly cooled with a/c, ceiling fans above the bed, and the mattress comfortable provided for a great nights sleep.

Beautiful neighborhood

I have stayed here twice in 2 years and brought my dog both times. Great yard for him to play frisbee and lovely little quiet neighborhood for walks. Very close to LR University which my daughter goes to.

Perfect Location

Everything was terrific for our stay! We spent a few nights here while my Lenoir-Rhyne student son recovered from a surgery. It was the perfect place for our needs; comfortable, very quiet and very close to the University, hospitals and all amenities. The neighborhood is lovely, and you’ll spot lots of friendly walkers, runners and dog-walkers. I 100% recommend this home!
