"This was a nice place. Pretty clean, though one bed had some crumbs on it. It was a bunk bed, so it would have been easy to miss. Didn't smell bed. Kitchen was clean and appropriately stocked. Would like to see the back yard/fire pit area cleaned up a bit and the stairs to the beach were very mildly scary but stable."

"I don’t even know where to start. This place was unbelievably awesome. My significant other and my dog who would never seen the ocean before, all had a magnificent time! Wish I could’ve stayed longer. The privacy, how cozy it was, all the things. I wrote a little message in their guest book. They had a personalized photocopy of the A-frame. We stayed in and then a note personally to us, which is going in my scrapbook by the way. There’s so much I mean it was just phenomenal. I recommend this place highly and hopefully will return sooner than later. I’m not sure if this comment section explains the dates we were there but we stayed from July 9 to the 12th and the days were perfect. Had a little sprinkle that Saturday but nothing major and just yeah the host made you feel welcome. I had a lot of questions and she was amazing so anyways, yeah I highly recommend this place and I’ll be back or I should say we’ll be back sincerely Donnette."

"Tenmile House – Great Location, Honest CharmTenmile House delivered exactly what we were looking for. The ocean is just a 3-minute walk away, and the tide pools south of the creek are spectacular — we counted hundreds of starfish. The location is hard to beat: Thor's Well, scenic overlooks, excellent hiking trails, and the charming town of Yachats are all within a 10-minute drive. The setting is quiet and peaceful, which we appreciated.The house was clean and well-suited for a large group. The kitchen is functional and met our needs, the first-floor bedrooms are comfortable, and while one bathroom doubles as a laundry room, it's a generous space. Note that the bunk room is quite small, and the second-floor loft bedroom is semi-open to the first floor with no door for separation — something to keep in mind for light sleepers. That upper room is dated in style, but clean.There's no direct ocean view, though you can catch a glimpse through the corner windows of the living room. The gardens surrounding the house have real potential — rosemary, thyme, and established plantings that would be showpieces with a little attention. The exterior and windows could use a good power wash, though this was purely cosmetic and didn't affect our stay.Two families of four shared this home for a long weekend and never felt crowded. We would return without hesitation and happily recommend Tenmile House to anyone seeking a no-frills, well-located retreat on the Oregon coast."
