"The inn was clearly run very well. Clean, well maintained, beautiful, peaceful, and real unique rustic character as far as aesthetics go. There was a fully stocked kitchen that we could use. Literally the only downside of this inn was an overzealous rooster. But that's Hawaii. There are wild birds all over the island. If you don't like nature, then maybe a resort will treat you better. For those who want a more immersive and real experience with genuine heart, I highly recommend it. This is a place that I'll strongly consider coming back to on a future visit."

"This place is worth the view! The lanai looks right over the ocean and has patio seating where you can enjoy a meal or just sit outside as the sun sets. If you're looking for a place to stay in Kailua-Kona with a beach front view, this place is great!A couple of notes to keep in mind—the condo has a nice, small kitchen where guests can cook their meals.We found parking to be easy—just have to be sure to follow the parking permit instructions.The host also provided us with some beach chairs and snorkel gear—lots of places to snorkel on the Big Island.The condo itself is older—there are signs that the space has been used well.There isn't AC. This condo, like many others in Hawaii, rely heavily on the trade winds. If you're coming during the warmer months, expect the condo to be warm, even at night. The host provided an upright fan for the bedroom, but the bedroom will still be hot during warmer evenings. You can keep the front screen door open along with the lanai door to help keep the temperature at bay, but we did get really hot during our stay—it's just a part of the Hawaii condo experience. If things get too warm, the complex has a pool area to cool off, or you can find a beach to cool off at.Where the condo is on Ali'i Drive, we really enjoyed the taco stand that's right down the stairs and a 30-second walk down the road. While we didn't get to enjoy the poke place in the complex, many people have said the place is good!"

"This unit is not at all reflective of the price. I have stated multiple times in Hawaii in units that do not have air conditioning but were designed for adequate ventilation. This unit was horrible. Our first night was so uncomfortable we decided we needed to find another rental. It was also dirty, carpets significantly stained, torn chair cushions, broken window blinds and broken bathroom towel rods. We were enable to find any other place to stay so we actually paid more money to fly home early! VRBO was not much help. I was unable to get the property owner to pick up the phone or return my message. All they did was send me a text saying they were trying to get in touch with me…but they didn’t answer the phone when I called. They also stated that they didn’t have access to VRBO platform to respond to my message alerting them of the issue. They agreed to refund 25% of the rental fee but only refunded a 278. I will not be renting from vrbo knowing that I am not protected."
