Homemade breakfast, kind hospitality, warm home. It's definitely an off the beaten path stay but made me and my mom super happy. You can tell there's a lot of care put into it.

Stopped in the middle of the night due to fatigue. A room in an old house on Main Street. The lady was talkative smoking a cigarette with a happy little dog. The room was old and small with a tiny DIY shower. That morning left and didn’t see the lady just left the key.

If you've ever wondered what a British B&B feels like, don't wait: book a stay at this 200-year-old home in Honesdale, PA! From the moment you walk in through the double- entrance foyer, it feels like you have crossed the ocean without ever getting on a plane. Downstairs, you are greeted with a parlor, complete with comfortable sofas, a fireplace & an old piano. Through the living room, there are two dining rooms, each with a table set for breakfast. At the bottom of the original wood staircase is another seating area & a low shelf with a collection of teapots & matching teacups. Upstairs is a corridor with numbered rooms on each side; behind each door is a uniquely decorated bedroom & ensuite bathroom. In some rooms - like the one we had - the sink is in the bedroom & the shower & toilet in a separate room. The beds (in our room) were clean & comfortable & we both slept really well! The 3rd floor is a suite: 3 bedrooms that sharing a private sitting area & large bathroom. Oh, how I would have loved to soak in that clawfoot tub! Breakfast was included in our stay, and was plentiful and tasty: scrambled eggs, sausage patties, French toast, bagels, toast, cereals, juices, yogurts & milk were all on offer, all buffet style & eat as much as you want. The B&B manager, a lovely lady called Adrienne, lives onsite. She has established a rock river outside the dining room window, and asks each guest to paint a rock to add to it. I highly recommend this B&B!

Woodstock

Stayed here for one night when we were attending a concert in Bethel. The place is absolutely darling and very quaint. Now keep in mind, it is an extremely old house built in 1897. Of course the bathrooms were small back then. The place was immaculate And the lady at the desk was so helpful. Breakfast was absolutely amazing. If you want on a sit on the front porch in a rocker with a cup of coffee in the morning then it’s the place for you. If you want a brand new huge bathroom, then go stay at the Hilton. Without a doubt, I will stay there again

Charming older home is full of potential for an owner with taste and willingness to take on some needed upkeep. Hard-working staff person was lovely but did not have the resources needed. Breakfast was poor: no coffee other than pods for a dirty Keurig.

This could be such a great B&B! The bathrooms are so antiquated and the shower is difficult to fit into (I’m 5’4” and a size 6, so imagine how my 6’2” husband fared!). The bed was comfortable and the manager was nice. The breakfast was definitely lacking. Would not stay again.

My husband and I were attending a concert @Bethel Woods and needed a place for the night. We usually plan a lot better but, it was a last minute trip. The hotels in the area were booked solid or $400+ for the night. No thanks. The distance was over 20 miles, but it beat the 2+hour ride home after a long day. We were fortunate that a room was available for a very decent price and Adrienne was just lovely upon our arrival. Everything was immaculately clean and I had one of the best nights sleep I have ever had when away from home. I would handsdown visit again.

This an old house that is not lovingly restored. It is patched and jerry rigged, peeling paint, water damaged floors, plastic strips instead of wood molding, a sink that is old and disgusting. The room is so small only one chair and have to squeeze between a corner and the bed to get into it. Cheap linens and a generally scuzzy feeling. Breakfast similar Holiday in express with less choice- no yogurt- only sausage meat. Bread from a plastic bag. Dont know how they passed inspection.

I like this place. If you expect the Hilton it is not. It is different. Very good neighborhood with lots of old well maintained homes. Love the old house. The proprietor is very nice and will do anything you need. Pet friendly st no extra charge.

About what you'd expect for the price. The building is old, and some architectural choices are not standard. For instance, the bathroom only had a toilet and a shower, as the sink was outside. Furthermore, there were very few convenient places to put a charger in a socket for my phone. I tried one socket and found it didn't even work. For my bedside, I had to unplug a surge protector that powered a lamp and alarm clock to keep my phone charged as I slept. The bed was pretty comfortable, and the room had free air conditioning. Breakfast was decent, and so was the shower. Soundproofing is non-existent, as I was woken up on my first night by someone ringing the doorbell repeatedly. Please be considerate of your neighbors if you plan to stay here.
