Property was amazing. Just an fyi that maybe the cleaning staff should be advised of. Some of the rooms had a faint urine odour. There was cobwebs and dead bugs in the top corners of some shared rooms. The cloth hot plate was very dirty (dried egg on it) and BBQ was unusable as it was very dirty.

Was a very lovely cottage! It was clean and very spacious. I just wish the porch had a walk down toward the lake and the grill was slightly cleaner but other than that the property was lovely!! Highly recommend staying here and the owner was very responsive with all of my questions and inquires!

Friends get together

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the house, only two issues, BBQ was in need of a clean, only used it once due to this. Water pressure was terrible, especially as there were 8 adults all having showers so that was challenging. Location on river was lovely, we had a fire every night, it was lovely to relax and unwind.

We were quite disappointed with the house and the cleanliness. The towels were all damp when we arrived and had a musty smell to them. The table and counter tops weren't wiped down, night stands had stains on them, the sheets had hair and pretty much every corner in the house had dead bugs, spider webs or dust. The fridge could use a good clean as well as the kayaks which had nests of dock spiders on them. Overall pretty disappointing considering the huge cost and cleaning fee we paid.

Wonderful cottage

We stayed with a group of friends and our kids (6 adults, 4 kids). The cottage was clean and well equipped. It's on the Muskoka river and swimming off the dock was a highlight for everyone. The hosts were responsive and helpful for the few questions we had. The only issue we encountered was that the cottage does not have great water pressure, which was challenging from the perspective of having showers, doing dishes, and getting baths organized for the kids. I asked the host about this, and his response was "this is a limitation of the cottage". I feel like more could be done about the issue, frankly, I have been to several cottages on lake water that did not have issues like this. To be fair, if we were fewer people it would not have been as difficult an issue and easier to work around (however, the cottage has 4 bedrooms so really I don't see how this is unexpected). Absent the water pressure issue, I would happily have given this 5 stars and the cottage was very well equipped. Otherwise we had a great time and everything was smooth.

Unpleasant Surprise

The unpleasant surprise that greeted my family and I when we got to this cottage was an unkempt yard and a very untidy deck. We paid for a vacation to relax and enjoy and instead we had to clean the deck and the kitchen. The condition of the yard clearly told us that this home was not cared for in months. There was a stuffy smell once we got in, which means no one even opened the windows to let fresh air in knowing that there will be guest for the weekend. If you're going to accept payment for the use of your home, it is your responsibility to make sure it is well prepared for the guest. I will never rent this place again and I will not recommend it to any one.
