We arrived on Friday September 12, our room had no dresser to put all our clothes in which I found very strange then on Saturday around 3pm the electricity went out, we waited a couple hours then we called the front desk and the girl said it would be out for a while so I was having sinus issues plus asthma so I went to the office to speak with the receptionist and she apologized but didn’t know when the electric would be restored so do to my condition we had to go back home to Miami , we were not offered a different room first, check the office video , we would like , Saturday and Sunday nights refund back to us since we left on Saturday.

Chesapeake Beach Resort – Not as Advertised Stayed with my family and dog ($50/day pet fee). Villa was spacious and pet-friendly, but the A/C barely cooled the bedroom. The “beach” is tiny, mossy, and murky, with access through a narrow mangrove path. Both pools were dirty. Cleaning staff was just okay. The Chesapeake Beach Resort was lovely. It is a small, clean, picturesque resort. We had the beautiful beach area with pool towels and lounge chairs to ourselves. We were surprised and excited about the 2 free hours of either paddle boarding, kayaking, or fishing poles per day. The free breakfast omelette station was delicious. The front desk sells frozen shrimp for fishing. A tour to the sandbar is a must! Unfortunately we booked a different tour before check in, but saw a cheaper tiki boat tour to the sandbar at the hotel. All in all, great stay with nice beach area! Would recommend!

The property was beautiful, quiet and relaxing surrounding. Very nice and welcoming staff all around. The only thing negative was our room smelled like weed. The next door neighbors were smoking and it came into our room through the A/C. Reported to the front desk and they changed our room.
