Spring Break on IOP

We spent a few days on IOP for Spring Break. The condo was an amazing size for our family of five (it could’ve held even more people). Many, if not all, of the concerns expressed by previous reviewers have been addressed by the owners. There’s a new refrigerator, a big, comfortable sectional and the condo is in the perfect location.

A Wonderful Stay

I had friends from out of town visiting, and we wanted to stay by the beach. This rental has a direct pathway to the beach and unit pool. The apartment was immaculately clean and had a well-stocked kitchen. There was enough room for all seven of us, and we had a great time relaxing on the beach and pool. The location is perfect for walking to all the restaurants in Isle of Palms, so no need to worry about additional parking. I highly recommend this rental.

Clean but in Need of Repairs Badly

Our unit was spacious and clean; however, it was in great need of repairs throughout and some things did not work at all. The biggest issue was the AC unit. It never got below 74°-75° inside the unit. They did send a repairman out to work on it; however, it did not improve the air temperature in the unit. On top of this, the bedroom with the bathroom attached at the end of the hallway was always much hotter than the rest of the unit. There was also a portable unit in that bedroom for most of the week. It may have helped some on the bedroom temperature, although that bedroom still stayed much warmer than the rest of the unit, even with it. On top of the hot temperatures in that bedroom, the portable unit was leaking terribly on the carpet from the portable unit -the carpet was soaked from the window to almost the entry door, so we had it removed. This same bedroom door and the bathroom door (on the bedroom side) did not lock or even shut correctly. The bedroom with the two twin beds door also had a bedroom door that did not shut or even lock. The kitchen and the master bathroom was missing cabinet doors and fronts of drawers. There was also molding missing in the kitchen. Also in the kitchen, it was not possible to get the freezer door open unless the blinds were closed. The fridge would not open all the way also. In the master bathroom and the jack-and-jill bathroom toilets all were not attached to the floor well and wobbled when they were sat on. Not worth 5K+.

Great beach getaway. Clean, bright. Owner needs to give a little attention to a few broken cabinets, fans. Does not interfere with enjoyment of property. Hope to return soon!

We had a wonderful week. Perfect location and accommodations for my family. Loved the private stairs and access to the beach, being able to leave all the sand toys on the porch!! Look forward to going again next year!

Great Location!

Loved the location of this property. It was so close to the beach. Everything on Isle of Palms was so walkable. Easy drive to Charleston. A few of the cabinet doors in the kitchen and bathrooms seemed loose. We were afraid we might pull them off. We wish there would have been beach chairs available. We drove this time so we were able to bring some with us. We looked in to renting them from one of the local places but it was expensive. Definitely bring your own! We had 7 people with us and the condo had plenty of room for everyone. We would definitely stay here again if we come back to Charleston area!

Fantastic location, unit was a bit tired

Ideal IOP location just steps to anything you'll need. Convenient first floor unit with large balcony and private steps to the pool & beach. Everything was a bit tired (furniture, kitchen, flooring & bathrooms) with uncomfortable beds & pillows. The condo also needs a deep clean, the bathroom tile was dirty, under the beds and windows. Mismatched kitchen dishes and only 1 wine glass. Overall nice but needs a little TLC.

Great location, interior needs attention

The location of this unit was perfect - walking distance to restaurants, bars & grocery + beach. The exterior of the building seemed new & well-kept, however the interior of the unit did not match the expectations. The common areas were in decent shape, however the bedrooms and bathrooms were in less than desirable conditions. It was clear that no one is inspecting what is left at the property, trash and junk were left behind from previous guests in the closets and drawers of the furniture. We even found a pair of soiled underwear left on one of the window sills - it was hard to feel comfortable using anything in the space after finding that. Overall we were disappointed with the status of the unit, but some TLC and quality checks would do wonders.

Beautiful location and great property

The condo has lots of space for people to spread out and the oversized deck overlooking the ocean was wonderful. Having the starter soap, shampoo, toilet paper, etc was very nice. The only thing we had problems with was parking as it only comes with 2 spaces. We were traveling from all over the country and had 6 vehicles. We are already planning our next visit.

Wonderful beachfront home

This condo located right on the beach is perfect and has everything you need. There is a bar next door that does have some noise to it but thanks to regulations in the area everything is done by 10 so sleep is not affected. It’s location on Isle of Palms is convenient to walk to the Shoppes restaurant in Ben & Jerry’s right across the street, A supermarket is a bit further away but still convenient. Would return no questions asked.
