Great central location—easy walk to museums, restaurants, and shops. Our first night was rough due to loud neighbors in an adjoining room, but switching rooms helped. The new room occasionally had a sewer smell in the bathroom. The pool area was also frustrating—too few lounge chairs for the number of guests.

First time in Charleston. Hotel was fabulous. The staff was friendly and welcoming. They went out of there way to make our stay memorable. John one of the managers was exceptionally nice and helpful. Gave us some great recommendations that made our trip great.

Loved the atmosphere. Hospitality amongst front desk employees and I never received his name, but at the Iron Rose there was an Indian employee/manager, whose personal hygiene wasn’t the greatest, but was extremely rude upon order pickup. The negative rating is mainly due to the excruciating back pain we’ve endured and still experiencing from our hard mattress in room 425. Dwight, the front desk manager was especially pleasant and welcoming. Along with a bellman that had the same accent as Dwight.
