Beautiful house with stunning views.

The house is spacious and comfortable. The views are incredible. The property is private and quiet and just a five minute drive into town. Perfect location. We would definitely stay at the property again. Highly recommend.

Great stay in Julian

Roger was a great host, his property has an amazing view and was well stocked with supplies. Only detail I would suggest for the host would be a shower curtain around the bathtub in the guest bath with maybe an extended arm to have both bathrooms to have showers in it. Otherwise, it was a great location and stay

Amazing Julian sunsets

We couldn’t wait to see the views from this beautiful property and we were not disappointed. Nothing better than coming home and seeing the expanse of fields, trees and grazing cows. Enjoyed the sunsets by the fire table or from the dining table while playing games. Very comfortable beds and well appointed kitchen. Hope we can return someday.

Beautiful sunsets and starry nights

The view from the deck is amazing. We enjoyed sunsets and starry nights. The house feels private and secluded like a cabin in the country. It's close to Julian and Wynola, two areas we love to visit for pie, food and unique shops.

So clean with breathtaking views

Such a wonderful and comfortable stay. The place has all the cooking things you'll need and the most amazing deck, we even saw the Milky Way! We were so impressed at how impeccably clean the place was and the lovely furniture layout. We will definitely be back!

Perfect Location for Families

The location was just close enough outside the city for convenience, but up at a hill top with a gorgeous, quiet view! Fully stocked and well laid out for our family of 5. Lots of entertainment with the TV options, board games, and basement games. We enjoyed the back patio the most!

Quiet spot close to town

The house feels secluded and quiet yet is only a couple of minutes drive to Julian shops and restaurants. The views from the balcony, on a clear day, are lovely. Regrettably, we didn't see any of those until our day of departure as heavy rain and strong winds persisted for most of our stay, forcing our party to spend more time indoors than we'd hoped. This meant more focus on the property, than expected and while it is spacious and comfortable, some of the fixtures and fittings have seen years of service without renewal. For instance, the heating and cooling system is a tad loud when in use and the en-suite shower offered up little more than a trickle of lukewarm water at any given time. The host, Roger, is very responsive and helped, when asked, with a specific request that improved our visit.

Beautiful Night Sky

We stayed here for nearly 3 weeks. The home itself was clean and quiet and spacious! The views are unbeatable and the stary night sky is spectacular! My communication with the host was prompt and attentive. If you desire a quite peacful atmosphere, you just found it!

Peaceful stay

We stayed here to get away from the fireworks for the 4th of July and the property was beautiful. Everything was clean and cozy and the view from the deck was amazing. Roger was super responsive and an amazing host. Hope to be back next year!

Loved this place!

We loved this property! It fit our needs well, it is clean, and the view is gorgeous! The property is beautiful inside and out. I appreciated that the property host checked in with us several times during our stay. We will definitely bring the family back to stay at "Julian Sky"!

Beautiful Views and Comfortable Accommodations

This was our first time visiting Julian where we came for a family wedding. We chose this home 100% based on the photos and reviews as the area was totally unfamiliar to us. Happy to say that the house was very comfortable and clean, and Roger was very easy to communicate with and very friendly. The drive to the house is through very narrow, winding streets and it’s located at the end of the street, so very private with no houses nearby.

A must stay!

This property is amazing. Great privacy, excellent location, with breathtaking views. We got 4 inches of snow the first night and saw deer and wild turkey while walking around the property. The house is clean, well furnished, and well stocked with cookware for a home cooked meal. Great communication with the owner, and be sure to read the black binder on the table by the front door. Lots of great info in there on the history of Julian. This is a must stay and we will be coming back for sure.

Snowy Weekend Retreat

Roger was great to work with and we loved this property! The location is great, very close to town and also close to several hiking trails. The house is cozy and comfortable, and the view is amazing. It's also nice that the property is very private with a lot of outdoor space. Our dog absolutely loved it! The only tricky part was the snow on the very long and steep driveway. Heavy snow is not that common in this area so it's likely not going to be a factor for many people. But if it does happen to snow, I would definitely come prepared with chains etc. The driveway is steep and can get slippery with ice and snow. That aside, we really loved the house and would most certainly stay here again. A fantastic place to get away and relax!

Perfect Wedding Weekend

I had my wedding in Julian, and after a cancellation of another property, we found Julian Sky. The property was beautiful. It was amazing to see the stars at night and wake up to coffee on the patio. My husband and I played ping pong in the basement and napped on the couch. The location was PERFECT for all the various events of the weekend. Though the house is smaller than our home, it felt so much bigger with the views of the valley below. We have already talked about returning (maybe this time with our dog). The hosts were communicative and easy to work with. The house was clean and well maintained, plus there were thoughtful extras sprinkled around the house that were much appreciated (such as q-tips and hair ties in the bathrooms).
