Pheasant Hill Cabin. A cozy cabin and dog friendly.

This quaint cabin is 1.5 miles from the heart of historical Julian, CA. A private property, this is the perfect place for a couple's getaway, a nice family vacation or even just a group of friends looking to get out of the hustle and bustle of the city. A fenced back yard is perfect for a dog (note: our neighbors have dogs), while the enormous front deck allows for a great hang out spot and night time star gazing. The cabin is a studio layout with a queen bed and queen sofa bed. The kitchen has everything you could need for your stay including a full size fridge.

The cabin is on its own property and is not attached or shared by any other building.

Forested neighborhood of Kentwood-In-The-Pines, in the mountains is quiet, lots of birds. (and wild turkeys!)

Winter note: please be aware that it can snow in winter and you should check the weather conditions and be prepared with chains or a 4x4. Our road usually gets cleared but not always (our neighbor has a snow plow). Locals often park at the end of the driveway in snow to make access to the street easier.

Our 5th stay. My husband and I love this cabin for quick weekend getaways. Cozy, complete with amenities, a lovely deck and quiet neighborhood. The fact that we can bring our frurry child is a bonus. The fenced backyard is perfect. Spring is upon us and the lush, long grass and weeds made it hard for poop pick up. It was clear to see with random stools in the yard showed other visitors had the same issue. We apologize for any poops we missed!We’ll be back! Thank you for sharing cabin

The Pheasant Hill Cabin had everything that my family and I needed for a short weekend getaway. It was located in the perfect spot to be able to enjoy both Julian and the Anza-Borrego State Park. The host was quick to respon and friendly. We would definitely stay here again!

This is me and my friend's 2nd time staying here and it’s just as magical as it was the first time, the vibe is always so cozy, quiet neighborhood, a lot of privacy with the surrounding trees, we loved the new fire pits !!! We love staying here and hope to come back again!!!

This cabin is so cozy! It is in such a great location. Just 5 minutes out of the small town of Julian. It was so nice to turn on the fire pit outside and stargaze at night. We walked around Julian at sunset. It was the perfect little weekend getaway. The cabin itself was very clean and well stocked. Checkin and check out instructions were very clear. The only reason why I would give it a 4/5 stars would be for the pots and pans. They could sure some new ones. But would definitely stay here again!

Cabin was really cozy. Anything you could possibly need ( towels, dishes, microwave, etc ) was provided. I loved hanging out by the fireplace at night. There were notes spread throughout with instructions for the lights and other things. Our stay went smoothly. I would definitely book another trip here again!!

The cabin is super cute. I thought it was a one bedroom. The main bed is off to a corner of the cabin and so has no privacy. It was fine, just not what I had expected as it was listed as a one bedroom. The foldout couch mattress was very thin so my sister slept on the couch and not on the mattress. We did not have any pets with us but it would work if you hasp a dog as the back yard was fenced. There were neighborhood dogs all around who barked all the time during the daytime. They were quiet at night. Seemed like people went off to work and left their dogs out in the yards, who then barked at any car or person who went by. The yards are not large so dogs are very close.

Love this cabin for the quiet neighborhood. When sitting on the elevated deck you are in the trees. The owner had made some cozy changes. We really appreciate that the cabin is dog friendly with a private backyard. My husband and I have stayed at this cabin multiple times over the years. It will continue to be our favorite weekend getaway.

This property is perfect for a couple with a dog on an overnight trip to Julian. Hubby and I live within 3hrs of Julian, so we just went for the day. The location of this cabin is literally 5 min driving outside of Julian. The cabin has an open floor plan, the only privacy is the bathroom - for those traveling with friends/teenage kids. Cabin felt very safe and secure. Location is pretty. Easy check in and out. Host was VERY responsive. For location and price point, I loved it. Cabin was so cute! I l appreciated the little extras such as the fire pit on the deck, coffee, soap, toiletries, blankets, towels, etc.

We had an amazing time! Cabin was amazing , very clean , organized , set up perfectly. The balcony. And the hammock , very relaxing , being able to look up at the stars at night. The cabin is easy to find & immaculate
a stunning property inside and out. It is well stocked with kitchen utensils, towels, blankets, shampoo, & a very well put together binder with local attractions. The deck is a serene spot surrounded by gorgeous trees and a variety of birds. The cabin interior was inviting with wood paneled walls, a comfortable bed, an extra soft sofa, & pretty Aztec decor. The heater/AC unit worked quite well. The host was kind, welcoming, & organized. Check in & out are simple. This property made for a very restful get away. I definitely recommend.

We had a great stay at Pheasant Hill, and would stay again on our next trip up to Julian! Easy check-in and great communication with our hosts. Very convenient location to Main Street and Julian itself exceeded our expectations. Our dog Franklin especially enjoyed the accommodations.
