Enjoy time with friends and family in this newly renovated, single story, 1800 sqft home directly on Gun Lake featuring 3 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms which can comfortably sleep up to 10 people.

Need more space? Ask about renting our property directly across the street for larger groups! We can accommodate groups of 15+ comfortably between the two houses. More info about the other property can be found here: https://www.vrbo.com/2536574

This home features an open concept layout, with a well stocked kitchen, family room with smart TV, dining room and sunroom all open to the full-height windows giving you a great view of the lake all day long.

Washer and Dryer are available for use on premises.

Outside we have a tree swing for the kids that looks out onto the beautiful sandy bottomed swim area next to the dock. The water is only a 1-2 feet deep at the entrance, making it perfect for your little ones. Enjoy taking out our standup paddle boards (2), our kayaks (2 kids, 1 adult, 1 tandem), and experience great fishing right off of our dock.

Dock features a sitting area at the end - perfect for a morning cup of coffee or evening drink while you enjoy watching the swan and heron who love to visit.

Enjoy your evenings lakeside around the fire pit, hanging out at night and cooking s'mores, or use the large yard as a great place for yard games.

Looking to enjoy time out on the water? Ask about renting our 25’ Tritoon and 2 jet skis during your stay! Great for exploring the lake or tubing with the kids.

Parking is available for up to 3+ vehicles.

Other amenities include Gun Lake Park a 2 minute drive away and the State Park only a 10 minute drive, or a 3 minute boat ride away which features a sandy beach, inflatable water slide, and an ice cream shop!

WONDERFUL!!!!This was our first time staying anywhere but a hotel. I was hesitant due to horror stories I've heard. But we really wanted to take our Labradors on a lake vacation, so we had no choice. So happy about that! This was all around wonderful! Mark was so responsive and so fast! Like shockingly fast. He entertained my many questions and made me feel comfortable about taking our dogs here. I am admittedly a vacation snob. Kinda picky. The home is dated, which i was prepared for based on other reviews, but it felt clean and charming. Bedrooms were standard. The living area and kitchen were spacious, Plenty of room to entertain for when our adult children visited. I felt very comfortable the whole time.The lake was everything! We spent every day soaking up the sun! Morning coffee outside to swimming and playing on the water toys provided. Ending with a fire by the water. Truly my idea of paradise. The water is what you are paying for.The properties on gun lake are packed in tight. So i was worried about neighbors. We did meet a couple and they were very nice. Its a quiet area and everyone seems to keep to themselves. Which was great for us. We were not there to party. We just wanted to swim with our dogsWe definitely look forward to coming back

Wonderful Lake House Getaway

We had a great time on Gun Lake. The house has every amenity you could need and communication is prompt if anything arises. The lake is beautiful and was not overly busy, even on a holiday weekend. This is a perfect pick for a family getaway. We are looking forward to coming back next year.

Visit to Shelbyville for a wedding

We visited the area for a wedding of a friend. The booking, the checking in and the entire stay was enjoyable! The views of the lake from house is so nice! The house is clean but as stated in other reviews it is a bit of a rustic cottage and could use a few updates but that did not take away the comfortability of feeling right at home!Absolutely beautiful sunrise! I wish we could have been there for a summer stay because the lake looks like it would make for so much fun and it's just steps away from fun in the sun!Thank you Mark and Liz for opening your home!

Great summer spot

Bedrooms and bathrooms were clean, a well stocked kitchen and roomy enough spaces for a group. We enjoyed the water, the kayaks, the paddle boards and the floatation devices. So happy with the air conditioning as it was hot a humid when we stayed. Our family enjoyed the swing with our grandson.

Wonderful lake property

The house was a perfect spot for our family vacation. Dated, but clean and perfect for a lake vacation. Nice open spaces in the dining room and sun porch. Quick communication and lots of lake toys and chairs to use.

We had a great 3 nights at the cottage. Kitchen was well stocked, water toys and pontoon rental was appreciated and Mark was a great communicator. The reason we did not give 5 stars is because the cottage is dated and the sun porch is musty.

Beautiful location

This cottage is in a great location, close to everything with a great view. It leaves a little to be desired when it comes to the house itself. It is very dated and has uneven floors. Luxurious it is not. However, it suited our needs well and we had a great time. Mark is a good host and a good neighbor to his neighbors on the lakeshore.

Perfect lakeside cottage

This Gun Lake cottage was the perfect place for our family of 4 and pup. Two separate bedrooms with bunk beds for the kids, plenty of room to spread out and relax in either the family room, enclosed porch, or backyard over looking the lake. The kitchen and dining areas offered ample space to entertain, and the cottage was well stocked with all of the utensils and paper supplies we needed for the week. Our family enjoyed using the included kayaks & paddleboards, and renting the available pontoon boat and jet skis for a couple days were a nice bonus to our memerable vacation. Mark was a great host and communicated details promptly and efficiently. We hope to be able to return again in the future!

Roomy Lakefront

We enjoyed our stay at this lakefront home very much. The living spaces are very roomy, with lovely views of the lake. The home was clean. The kitchen provided everything we needed and more. The outside deck and tree swing are perfect--my grandkids (all under 4) really enjoyed the swing. The local grocery store is only 5 minutes away, which was convenient. The home is on a very quiet street just off the main road. All in all this is a fine property to stay in for a Gun Lake vacation!

This property has a beautiful view and we had a wonderful time. The neighborhood is very peaceful and that is exactly what we needed. The pontoon and the house were very clean and nice. The house has everything in it that you could possibly need. That made packing so much easier. We can't wait to rent it again!

We had a fantastic wedding weekend at Bay pointe. This house was a perfect addition to our rooms at the Inn and Boathouse. Beautiful property on Gun lake. Great host made this so seamless.

The house is well kept and right on Gun Lake. It was perfect for what we wanted. There was plenty of space, beautiful views, nice yard and dock. Our host Mark was very nice and always available. Very easy to work with. It was difficult to leave such a nice place.
