False Advertising & Filthy Conditions
I stayed at the Sandman Hotel in Cache Creek this past weekend and it was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. I booked two rooms with kitchenettes and double beds, but what we got looked nothing like the photos online — it was completely catfished.
The bathroom was filthy, with little bugs running around and a toilet that wasn’t even securely attached to the floor. The bathtub was dirty, and the rooms smelled strongly of stale smoke, even though they were supposed to be non-smoking. The so-called kitchenette was old and barely functional.
To make things worse, the staff were extremely rude and unhelpful. We ended up leaving after one night and refused to stay the second.
The TV had only about six basic cable channels — no Wi-Fi connection or streaming options as advertised. The attached restaurant was just as bad. We didn’t even bother staying for a meal.
Overall, this property is misleadingly advertised, poorly maintained, and terribly managed. Save yourself the disappointment and book anywhere else in Cache Creek.
