Good location and good for pet owners. We did stay for a month Home does need repairs and could use a deep clean. Pictures are not accurate of amenities. Different smaller lanai furniture, bikes are different and in poor shape ( rusted). Living room window had very large cracks on the outside and outside lights to entrance were out. (I did alert owner beginning of 3rd week ,lights were changed 3 days before we left. 1 stadium chair was broken and pool noodles were rotted. I was told to throw them out. Owner did communicate promptly and was very nice. Kitchen could use basic cleaning supplies (windex, etc) and general spices, pepper for example. Does have new washer and dryer and beds weee comfortable.

We stayed at this property for one month. When we arrived, the place appeared generally clean, although a few details have been missed-for example there was spaghetti left on the countertop and the kitchen sponge hadn’t been changed. The unit was also very cold when we arrived, and we spent the first night uncomfortable. The owner was very responsive and by the second night brought two heaters, which made a big difference and improved our comfort. Some of the amenities could use a little updating. The kayaks were quite worn in the bikes were not rideable due to rust. The doors to the lanai also needed some repair and did not close properly. Overall, the host communicated quickly, but the property could benefit from more thorough cleaning and some maintenance, particularly for a longer stays.

Excellent location with water views on both sides of the property! This is a great central keys location with direct fishing access as well as a boat slip if you have one. Better suited for families since you have to walk through the guest bedroom or exit outside to access the kitchen or main living area from the master bedroom. Clean and comfortable. kayaks, bikes, and fishing rods included.

Relaxing Keys Getaway

We had an excellent stay at the Half Duplex. We visit the Keys about every other year and this place was perfect for my husband, myself and our friend. Key Colony is a great location and the house was just what we needed. The beds were very comfortable and we enjoyed the kayaks as well as the bikes. The Sunrises from the dock or the porch every morning were simply amazing. The host was great to work with and quick to answer questions.

Relaxing Water Views!

We had a relaxing week in KCB with beautiful water views. The back porch is a comfortable place to watch the sun come up with a cup of coffee, and it was great to have beach chairs and kayaks available for use. The location was perfect for exploring the Keys from Islamorada to Key West; nothing was a far drive. The bedrooms and baths have been nicely updated and we found the king bed to be very comfortable. Melissa checked in on us to make sure we had everything we needed and was quick to respond to our questions.

The place is very clean and accommodating! Close to everything! Owner is very easy to communicate with. Place is nicely decorated. Loved fishing off the pier and having the fish cleaning table. The fish and bait freezer was a huge plus! Would definitely recommend to family and friends!!

Life is better in the Keys

Paradise! Have stayed in this VRBO "Conch Cottage" several times. Watch the sunrise from your cozy kitchen over Bonefish Bay. Nicely appointed unit with everything we need to enjoy our stay. Clean and comfortable. Huge flat-screen tv. Very nice owner. Highly recommend.

This is a nice home in a great location. Water views on both sides. Walking/biking distance to several restaurants. Short bike ride to Cabana Club. House was very clean, beds were comfortable. Grill is new. Enjoyed the bikes and kayaks. Quiet peaceful neighborhood.

House was as just like the pictures. Centrally located to a lot of fun activities. House was nicely stocked with fresh linens and towels and all kitchen appliances worked fine. We all had a great stay. The only negative was that the dock lights turned off when the chest freezer was plugged in/turned on due to some sort of electrical issue.

New favorite stay in the keys

We felt so at home staying at this rental. The place was spotless and Melissa was such an attentive host. Honestly, it was more like communicating with a friend. We loved the proximity to Curry Hammock State Park and the more natural Keys vibe while still being a short drive from Key West. We cannot wait to stay again. One of our favorite things was sitting on the dock and sipping a cold drink. Lots of memories were made and Melissa’s home was at the heart of those experiences.

Amazing stay in KCB - 2023

What an amazing 3mos. in KCB. Our rental was perfect! It had everything we needed! From comfortable beds/linens, a tv in every room, full size washer/dryer, bait freezer, kayaks and bikes to cruise to the Cabana Club pool! It was clean and comfortable and the “walk-thru” floor plan was no problem with guests! Since it’s warm FL weather, we just went out and around. We loved the screened in porch for coffee or cocktails where our water view was amazing! We loved waking up to a gorgeous sunrise every morning and then sunset at the KCB Sunset Park was filled with neighbors and friends with live music on Sundays. The Key Colony Inn has the best happy hour every day from 3-5 with the most delicious $5 menu and espresso martinis! All of our guests loved the place and had a great stay with us in KCB. Melissa was so accommodating and extremely pleasant and nice that we’re booked for next year and are already looking forward to going back! Thank you, Melissa!!
