If you want to experience the true meaning of a Key Largo Island vacation, then look no further than our spacious townhouse on the ocean side of the world famous Key Largo, Florida. ... The Dive Capital of the World! This Villa is located inside Kawama Yacht Club, a beautiful Hawaiian Island style resort that is situated along the southern border of John Pennekamp National Underwater Park. The grounds have over 30 lush tropically landscaped acres and it is the only resort in Key Largo that has a saltwater lagoon, a 400' fishing jetty and best of all a private oceanfront beach!

Recent renovations to the Villa include new kitchen with all new white Shaker style cabinets, all new kitchen appliances, new stainless steel under-mount sink, and exotic Granite Countertop/back splash. Additional upgrades include new Solid Wood dining set, new Queen Size Sleeper Sofa bed, installed new Wood Floor Planks throughout the second-floor area to include both bedrooms and new Modern Guest Bath/Shower. Also replaced all Master Bedroom furniture, New King Size bed and 45" HD Smart TV and Guest Bedroom W/New 55" HD Smart TV. Also replaced all Windows and Sliding Doors with modern white framed Impact Glass type and replaced the Main Bathroom with New Tub/Tiling/Flooring and Shaker Style Sink and installed New Epic 65" Ultra HD Smart Samsung TV in Living room.

Some of the best-known restaurants, dive shops, and snorkeling/deep sea fishing charters in all of the Keys can be found only minutes away from the resort. If you love adventure, natural beauty, or just relaxing on the beach while sipping a Piña Colada and gazing at a picturesque sunset, our townhouse in Key Largo is the ideal vacation destination for you!

Typical Day At Kawama Yacht Club: Enjoy a relaxing swim off of our private white sandy beach, BBQ with family at one of our ocean front Tiki Huts, fish for tarpon, snapper or grouper off of the 400' jetty, sunbathe at one of our swimming pools, burn off some calories on our tennis courts, take the kids over to our brand new playground or maybe snorkel in our private saltwater lagoon and swim alongside the dozens of exotic fish. These are just some of the activities you and your family can enjoy.

BEACH DISCLOSURE: During the Summer months it is common for large amounts of seaweed to blow in and collect along the shoreline. This is due to the constant East winds that blow towards the Florida coastline, so it's a natural phenomenon that occurs throughout the entire East coast of Florida. Some guests do find this to be a nuisance. As an alternative there is a nice public beach on the bay side only 10 min from the resort at Founder Park, the sea grass does not collect on that beach since it's on the opposite side to the open ocean.

SOME VERY IMPORTANT FACTS TO CONSIDER:

Unlike just about every other vacation rental owner that rents their second home out as a part time side business. As a State of Florida Licensed Vacation Rental manager, with over 30 years' experience operating 8 different Airbnb's in the area, this is my FULL-TIME PROFESSION. So, I'm fully dedicated to making sure your overall experience is a positive one and that the unit meets or exceeds your expectations! At the top of that list is providing you with the peace of mind in knowing that I'm able to respond quickly and will always do my best to resolve any issues that may come up during your stay. This is the reason why I always qualify for the much-coveted Super Host Status on various websites.

Many of the most popular vacation rental websites have been infiltrated by more and more con artist that advertise properties and take payments/reservations for properties that do not exist. Also, many private owners throughout the keys are operating illegal vacation rentals in areas not zoned to allow for rentals of less than 28 days. This is an activity that the county is aggressively cracking down on for a variety of reasons. Owners that are caught by Code Enforcement face steep fines and are required to immediately stop advertising and cancel all of their reservations.
So, to insure you have the peace of mind in knowing that you are dealing with a legitimate vacation rental manager and will not become the next victim of internet fraud, finding yourself stranded in the keys without a place to stay or reserve from an owner that is running an illegal rental. It is imperative that you make sure the owner/manager you ultimately rent from is licensed by both Monroe County as well as The State of Florida Division of Hotels and Restaurants.

Pest Control is one of my top priorities since all properties located in this tropical environment are vulnerable to becoming infested with roaches, ants, and spiders. Nothing will ruin a family vacation faster than having to share your unit with these unwelcome guests. That is why all my units are treated and inspected on a regular basis by a Professional Extermination Company.

100% Guarantee that the unit you see advertised is the actual vacation rental you will get. Since ALL vacation rentals in Key Largo are privately owned, they are decorated and maintained based on the owner's taste and budget. The range varies from new and modern to outdated and worn-down. So don't take a gamble on your vacation and insist on seeing photos of the actual rental before you book!

Beautiful private resort

The property itself has its charm. Two screened in porches that are great for enjoying the weather from the comfort of your room. This resort is well maintained, the lagoon is beautiful and full of interesting wildlife. The private beach is lovely and has amenities for fires, drinking, and more. The jetty is a great place to catch the sunrise and provides an incredible night fishing and stargazing spot. There is lots to love in this quiet getaway.

Overall I really enjoyed our stay. The condo met our needs and was very quiet. Property could stand a few minor repairs, but nothing was in poor condition. Fully stocked with everything you need. Pool area was nice and relaxing.

Spring Break Diving Trip

I took my 17-year-old son on a spring break starting trip and this was a great location. It’s close to lots of the dive shops and boats the complex is a little dated but it has a lot of character. We enjoyed having a kitchen so we could cook some of our meals. The saltwater lagoon is pretty cool and we loved watching the sunsets from the jetty.

My girlsfriends and I enjoyed our stay!

Great condo that suited our needs perfectly, with two bathrooms. Loved the screened-in back patio overlooking the pool. The property is beautiful, especially the beach area. Fernando is very easy to work with and ensured my friend got her iPad back after she inadvertently left it behind. Very kind!

The place met all of my expectations. It was very clean and well-kept. Fernando was an excellent host and responded quickly to the questions I had. The sunsets at the jetty were spectacular. I also made good use of the kayak I rented from Fernando, exploring the waters surrounding the area. The grounds were expansive, and it was a very calm, relaxing and peaceful time.

The host was very friendly and helpful. We loved the jetty and lagoon areas! However, as a resort rental professional I am going to make a few suggestions: When we arrived and opened the door the entire unit wreaked of mildew, It took several days of fresh air to tame the odor. May want to check for mold. The upstairs bathtub drain was REALLY slow. I tried to unplug but it needs some tools. The living room furniture needs updated. There is only one extremely uncomfortable couch. Items needed: soup bowls, baking sheet, toaster that holds a slice of bread, mop and bucket, curtains for window at the foot of stairs, small spoons, shower curtain liner, swiffer, some chairs for upper porch, and a dish pan. I bought some small spoons, Swiffer, and dishcloths and left there. The twin bed in the guest room looks broken. It dips in the middle.

Peaceful and secure

This was the perfect vacation stay. Tucked back in town but close to everything. The place was clean and welcoming. Wonderful neighbors that were so helpful and kind. Security gate was always occupied and the grounds were neat and tidy with plenty to do. A short walk to the water with plenty of places to sit and watch sunrise and sunset. The manager was quick to answer messages and was very helpful. We would certainly recommend this awesome hideaway to anyone looking for some laidback island time! Looking forward to staying again sometime.

Cowboys in Key Largo

Overall all property was as listed. However, we felt that the cleanliness was poor. Floors were dirty and it needed a good dusting.The manager was quick to respond when we needed him. Would we stay again at this property, yes.

Great stay, great location.

Long weekend trip for 3 scuba divers. Great property. Host was responsive to communication. Kitchen had a Keurig, coffee pot, microwave and fridge and all. Bathrooms appear recently updated and very nice. Water pressure was great. Bed was comfy. Easy walk to the jetty if you like the view or to fish. Caught a grey snapper off the jetty. Bring your own rods/reels. Easy walk off of screened porch to the pool. Hope to stay here again next year.

Older than expected

Home was older - for the money needs a refresh. Bathroom grout needs replacing missing and worn. Very dated. Trash can by marina a small beach was overflowing stench was horrible could not stay there. Pool area was updated and fresh-very nice Mosquitos were horrible as you walk in front door.

Enjoyed Our Stay

Our group consisted of four adults and a toddler. We all enjoyed our 2 week stay at the Kawama Yacht Club. Our unit was clean and ready when we arrived. It was not clear to us from the pictures, but the two bedrooms are upstairs and there is one shared bathroom upstairs in the hallway. The second bathroom is located off the kitchen, and it is very small. We made it work for us. The unit could use some updating and definitely needs more lighting in the bedrooms, particularly the master bedroom. This unit is just steps away from the playground and south pool which is very convenient. We enjoyed the little beach at the lagoon and our toddler loved being able to walk in the lagoon while the adults loved the heated pools. We also loved having the golf cart to drive around the complex.

Enjoyed Our Stay

We enjoyed our stay. The condo itself was very nice, well kept. The location was great for our kids. The pool and sand playground were right behind the unit, literally just few steps from the patio. The pools, playground, and lagoon were nice and there is a large picnic shelter right behind the pool closest to the unit. The marina on the Kawama Yacht Club property was kind of run down, but I don't know since I haven't really been around an awful lot of marinas, so this could be the norm. The walkout was gorgeous with a beautiful view at sunset. Our biggest gripe was the beach. It was not accessible. The lower level where you should be able to access the water was completely covered in a very thick layer of sea weed, and had a putrid, sulfuric smell. If it weren't for the smell, we would have sat and just enjoyed the sand, beach chairs, "tiki huts," and beautiful views with the kids. We just could not take the smell, so we never went back after the first time. It kind of bummed us out. We really don't have any gripes about the unit and the owner was very, very easy to work with!

Excellent place

Everything was wonderful. We really enjoyed the location and close proximity to the pool. If I find myself back in Key Largo I would definitely return.
