Penthouse Apartment Sunsets in Key Largo, Kawama Yacht Club Tower

Enjoy the panoramic view this tropically decorated, fifth-story penthouse unit has to offer of the Atlantic Ocean and the adjacent Wildlife Sanctuary. The unit affords its guests the spectacular sunsets the Florida Keys are famous for, right from your balcony and living room. The property is situated at mile marker 100 right on the ocean. This gated community with 24 hour security gate offers all you need for a relaxing vacation or get-away. The unit has porcelain tiled floors throughout for your comfort and cleanliness. Our unit is fully furnished with all the comforts of home, from your toaster oven to your blender to make those famous tropical drinks. Sorry Pets are NOT allowed and this is a None Smoking/ None Vaping unit.

Guests traveling with boat or other type of water vessels, you will have free use of the boat ramp. HOA rules maximum vehicle per rented unit is two (2) be advise boat and trailer count as one. Trailer parking is based on availability and not guaranteed by host. Contact us for information on renting a slip (association rules apply) at our marina with direct access to the ocean.

We feel confident your stay will be a most memorable experience! We bought Kawama for our future retirement home. Excellent fishing, scuba diving, Snorkeling and just all round water sport destination in Florida. Kawama is on the Ocean. We do have a man made beach area on the property. That area does not currently belong to the association. It is privately own, but due to the by-laws they must provide access to owners and guests of Kawama thus you do have an easement 12 feet to access the ocean. You can swim and snorkel on our ocean area as well as in our lagoon that is stocked with tropical fishes. Pending on the tide and current, one day we will have clear shore line area another day we will have seaweed accumulate on the shore. This is normal for the Keys.

Boat Ramp (All Vessels entering Kawama must bring proof of liability Insurance of $300,000.00 or higher) Marina Boat Slip Rentals (fees) contact host for assistance.

Please note that due to members of our family which have severe allergies to numerous pets we are strictly unable to accept any pets on our home for health reasons. If you must travel with any pets do not reserve our home.

One of the many projects a host has to do is pest control. Since our home is part of gated community with a Home Owners Association, included in our fees is interior and exterior Pest Control. As of this writing our monthly pest control is provided every second Tuesday of every month. These days are subject to change without prior notice.
Please be aware of this when you book and reserve our home as we want this service to be provided to our home.

First time at Kawama.

We have been to the Keys many times as a family. We decided to stay in Key Largo this time and shopped online via VRBO to find Kawama Resort. We were impressed with the property, the location, and the owners and had a great time. It is well located, secure, and has everything you could want to find in the Keys. The owners were particularly helpful.

Fourth of July dive trip

Enjoyed staying in this large, clean condo. It was just right for two couples. Only complaint is how far away the trash bins are - but that is not the fault of this condo. Just be aware it’s a half mile round trip walk to take trash to dumpster and it’s a pretty hot walk, so plan ahead. This unit has a very small balcony that can fit 2 people at a time but we enjoyed it at sunset. Views are over the pickleball court and trees, and you can see part of the marina on the side. The condo itself has comfortable beds, provides beach towels and basic kitchen utensils and cook ware. Could have used some plastic cups to take to pool. Overall great stay and would not hesitate to return.

Great Find in Key Largo

Found this at the last minute and stayed a week with my wife, son, daughter-in-law and grandson. Property was perfect. We cooked 4 times in the kitchen and everything we needed was there. Beds were excellent and the bathrooms were great too. We were there to dive and fish and everything was 10 minutes or less from our condo. Islamorada was only 30 minutes away and we took a day and visited KW--an easy drive down US1. Best part was starting and finishing our day on the balcony facing the marine, Atlantic ocean, and the mangrove swamps. Jose was very responsive and a great communicator too. Would stay a month if we could and will definitely return next year, this time for two weeks.

Perfect Location

We so enjoyed our stay at your apartment. The private pool only for people staying in the towers was lovely. We noticed how crowded the other pools were and were very thankful to have to pool all to our family every time we went. The property was terrific; the pier, sitting areas where you can watch the sunset, and the lagoon were peaceful. The location was close to great diving/snorkeling; John Pennycamp was only a few minutes away. We are at several excellent restaurants also minutes away, like Pilot Hours and Conch House. The unit was very spacious and well-stocked, with everything we could need. Jose had excellent communication. Finding a place that works with three teenagers is difficult, but this was perfect. We will defiantly be back!

Perfect home base in paradise

Lovely roomy condo with a sweet little balcony that is shaded in the mornings. You will be slow leaving this haven to explore the keys. Everything you need is here and you feel safe in this quiet gated retreat. I hope to be back every year.

Perfect spacious condo for family of 4

Had a wonderful time staying at Kawama tower. The unit was very clean and the owner makes a point of meeting guests in person to explain property details. The unit actually seemed bigger than the pictures (they usually are the other way around). We are a family of divers and snorkelers and found the location very convenient to get to our chartered boat trips (5-8 min from Rainbow Reef docks).

Relaxing vacation

Had a relaxing time in Key Largo. The condo was really nice and had everything we needed for our stay. We especially liked hanging out on the balcony overlooking the complex. Two of us could be there at a time and we had a great view of the marina and water. The king size bed slept great. The two full size beds were pretty hard. That was the only downside of the whole vacation. I would definitely rent here again if we go back to Key Largo.

Convenient Location for Scuba Divers

Easy & quick drive to Rainbow Reef Divers. And pool area next to parking lot has spray hose to easily clean scuba gear after diving. Very quiet and relaxing condo to enjoy sunsets and go to bed early for another early day of diving. Key Largo Fisheries Market & Backyard Cafe only 4 blocks away for best fresh fish to bring home and cook yourself or eat at the affordable cafe with cocktails.
