Well it was a bed to sleep in. But property was pretty run down. Water pressure and temperature kept changing during a shower. Staff was very friendly. Breakfast was okay. Would probably have spent the extra money on one of the other chain hotels if we were to do it again.

The wood flooring in the photos is actually a large roll of some kind of synthetic material designed to look like wood. And it does look it, but it was coming loose from the underlying material. The breakfast was fine. The owner was very nice. The location was excellent.

Our room was in the back “cottage” and was unique in that it was a split level. Had a bed down with a table, mini fridge on a table, 2 chairs, and a tv. Up a couple stairs there was another bed and the bathroom. The floors were dirty (noticed when we cleaned up some water we spilled) no light in the upper sleeping area. Breakfast was provided with eggs, sausage, cold cereals, etc

We found the staff very helpful and informative. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. Great value and location as the shops and restaurants were only a 5 minute walk.

Convenient location close to Mt. Rushmore but away from the noise of downtown Keystone. What impressed me the most was the manager/owner. He went out his way to provide us with polite service and an excellent breakfast. Thank you.

Proprietor and breakfast were excellent, the building is now white, not blue as depicted on Expedia, My room was Ok but the floor wasn’t level and the linoleum was buckled, great water pressure in the shower, pillows were below par, two channels on the TV didn’t have sound, think 12 & 16. Within walking distance of the touristy part of Keystone, I don’t recommend Ruth House, very close to Mount Rushmore and Crazy Horse Memorial as well as Custer State Park and Needles Highway.

It was a nice motel. Even the lower-level rooms have four steps to climb. There may have been a ramp elsewhere on the property but I didn’t see it. The manager was friendly and working very hard.

Unfortunately you get what you pay for. Room was ok bed was dirty and stained sheets were stained all over and itchy i broke out in a rash. Went to take a shower and uppn turning the water on it smelled of a rotten food and really musty blehh but worst of when i got out of the shower all my jewlery had turned copper brown. I know water and they absolutely have iron, magnesium, sulfar & black water in their system. Told management and he said they hadnt rented out that side of the rooms yet and offered no apology or any type of refund. Will absolutely never stay here again. Cant even see the water (brook) like description says. Very sad. Stay in town pay the extra money for a clean room and non smelly water.
