We rented this unit from Jan.16âJan. 21, 2026. On Jan.17, there was no water in the unit, and both the host and VRBO were notified. We were in Jamaica for a family funeral, and the lack of water caused us to delay an appointment with the funeral home. On the morning of the funeral (Jan 18), there was again no water. We noticed that at 5:00 AM and when we left at 8:30 AM, there was still no water. To prepare, we were forced to carry buckets of water from the first floor and heat it on the stove in order to wash up. VRBO was notified and requested video proof. During a three-way call initiated by VRBO, the host was combative and refused to offer any compensation for the inconvenience. Due to the funeral and grieving process, relocating on short notice was not feasible, so we stayed after being informed the water had returned.Two days before checkout, the air conditioning in the first bedroom stopped working, and the host responded with frustration rather than assistance. To date, VRBO has refunded the service fees associated with the reservation. The host later attempted to charge us for a bed he claimed was damaged by our party; this claim was untrue. We left the unit in good condition, disposed of all trash, washed dishes and buckets used, and took care of the space.The unit itself was spacious, clean, and offered nice views. However, due to the hostâs combative and unprofessional style and the unresolved issues with basic amenities, I would not recommend this property.
