Enjoy the tranquility and peacefulness of the Mountains! The best kept secret in the heart of the Poconos, Located in Lackawaxen,  PA.

MASTHOPE MOUNTAIN & LAKE COMMUNITY, is a beautiful  Four Seasons Community and the home of SKI BIG BEAR. Less than two hours from NYC!

Escape into the woods for a relaxing getaway at our cozy & comfortable country cottage. We offer 3-BEDROOMS, 2 FULL BATH, master bed includes small balcony, large country oak EAT-IN KITCHEN that over looks a sunken den with a gas fire place! We include WiFi, cable and Firestick, gaming system & board games. It has an open layout, a huge walk out deck with BBQ and an OUTDOOR FIRE PIT that is great for socializing. Hardwood floors throughout.

Hiding away between the trees, our cozy country cottage  has all the comforts of a home along with access to all MASTHOPE MOUNTAIN COMMUNITY
Only 5 minutes from our beautiful Westcolang lake and beach where you can enjoy swimming, beach volleyball, kayaking, canoeing and paddle boarding.


Take an adventure out to explore the nearby towns with small shops for memorable gifts, antiquing, dining by local restaurants, unique cocktails out on a patio, visit THREE HAMMERS WINERY (10 min away) for some live music and a tasting flight of artisanal wine or try our LOCAL BREWERIES with a huge variety of craft beer.

Explore nature and it’s numerous HIKING TRAILS with water falls, picnic or raft down the Delaware River ( 2 min. away) before returning to the warmth and comfort of our cottage to wind down by the outdoor fire pit or indoor fireplace.

WE’VE GOT YOU COVERED!
Our guests well being is always our concern and a priority! We have equipped our home with two fire extinguishers, first aide kit, fire and carbon monoxide alarms, flashlights and a list of all emergency numbers.

Beware renting from this owner

When i checked into the house at around 7pm with my family the heat in the entire house did not work. It was a very cold weekend and the heating system must have broke. The owner could not fix the issue and i had to find last minute accommodations 30 miles away at the closest Inn. I understand issues happen and some things are out of out control. The owner agreed to give me a full refund for the stay and I have been chasing for close to a month and still no full refund. I dont like leaving negative feedback but when someone ignores your phone calls and text messages I have no choice but to do so.

A Disappointment

Resort community with 2 large lovely pools and a beautiful lake with boating and swimming. Restaurant and poolside bar very convenient for dining. Check with host that severely leaking roof has been repaired and new cleaning service has been obtained. We had to clean bathrooms, kitchen, refrigerator, microwave, and launder towels before we could settle in. Host offered to refund for cleaning service fee and last minute charge for pool/lake access, but as of this writing (16 days post vacation) we have not received the refund. VRBO only responded after we returned from vacation, with host's phone number, which we already had. We have had multiple experiences with VRBO and have never been disappointed as we were on this trip. Awaiting promised refund from this host.

Our experience at this property was phenomenal. We were pleasantly surprised with the quality of the house and all of the neighborhood amenities. This is a great location for a relaxing getaway. The host was very responsive and the house was cozy enough to feel like a home away from home. We would highly recommend this property to any group or even a solo trip.

Great place close to skiing

Stayed here with friends for skiing and to celebrate the holidays and it was great! The house was clean and new and comfortably fit our group, it was perfect. We loved the fire pit and the indoor fireplace too. It's only about a 5 minute drive to Big Bear Ski Resort which was also great, and we were able to buy firewood and fire starters there. Angelina was really helpful and responsive - overall couldn't have asked for a better place.

A time to relax, renew, and refresh.

My husband and I stayed for 2 days in December. The home is warm and cozy. There is a room for everyone. I enjoyed the evenings by the fireplace with my nook. My husband enjoyed the bedroom and living room deck. We enjoyed dinner at the summit, wine tasting at 'Three Hammers', and a friendly visit from a deer family. Everyone we encountered was friendly and helpful. The owner was just a phone call away. She did a great job listing all of the activities happening within the area. I am looking forward to returning in June.
