Leelanau's wine-touring loop starts practically at your door at The Birches — downtown Lake Leelanau, the marina, and the public boat launch are all just 236 feet the other way.

This is Up North living without leaving the village. Start the morning with the Chateau Chantal sparkling wine waiting in your kitchen, walk to Iron House Gym on the house, then spend the day however you like — wine tasting along the Leelanau Peninsula Wine Trail, browsing downtown, out on the water at the marina, or driving out to Sleeping Bear Dunes and the bike trails. Every part of Leelanau County, Michigan is just minutes from your door. The location alone means this stay feels less like a hotel room and more like the Lake Leelanau condo you wish you owned.

Two bedrooms, two and a half baths, and real square footage to spread out in — a king suite, a second bedroom with two queens, and a sleeper sofa in the living area, so eight people can stay together without stacking on top of each other. The kitchen is stocked to actually cook a dinner, not just microwave one. In-unit laundry means you pack light and leave heavy. A private balcony and Smart TVs with your own streaming logins round out the space.

The Leelanau Peninsula Wine Trail starts practically at your door. Downtown Lake Leelanau, Michigan is 236 feet away, with the public boat launch and marina a one-minute walk. NJ's Grocery is 318 feet away. Suttons Bay Beach is 4.5 miles, Bahle Farms Golf Course 6.6 miles, Sleeping Bear Dunes a 25-minute drive, and Cherry Capital Airport, in Traverse City, 25 minutes out.

Sleeps 8 (adults and kids). Check-in 4 PM, check-out 11 AM, self-check-in by smart lock. Quiet hours 10 PM–8 AM and a strict no-party policy. No smoking indoors. Please note: each unit has two sets of stairs and no elevator access.

We loved the location of these units, it was within minutes to wineries, restaurants and shops. The condo itself was sharp, it had really nice finishes, very comfortable and good layout. It does have a full set of stairs to get to the main living area and then another set of stairs to get to the bedrooms, it wasn't an issue for us but not may not be ideal for some. The communication with True North, the property management company was excellent, they were very responsive. We would stay here again, it was great!

Liked: Cleanliness
Disliked: Communication

no real view but boat yard, deck had no chairs

this is not for faint of heart, there is 2 floors and 2 long stairways to get to them,is hard for anyone with heart disease or shortness of breathe to go up and down for any long period of time. The owners take awhile to respond to messages, they want you to strip the bed linens when u leave and start dishwasher, i thought people were paid to do that, but the condos are beautiful.
