Casinha das Vinhas in Sintra's Old Town

Tucked away in the quiet neighbourhood of old Sintra is our little house of vines, fully immersed in this idyllic village, with views of the Moorish castle from the bedroom’s south-facing balcony. Built in the 1890s, this home was one of the town's first, as it developed around the train station that connects Sintra to Lisbon. The stonework exposed throughout the house is part of its original structure.

Downstairs there is an open-plan lounge, kitchen, dining area and bathroom, up a few stairs. Upstairs there is a master bedroom with a queen-sized bed (160x200cm) and a balcony, as well as another bedroom down the hall with a pull-out bed that can be used as either a single or queen-size. There is also a study/yoga room, walk-in closet/laundry room, and bathroom. Outside is a garden courtyard with a seating area. We share this space with a very kind and loving street cat, Ruainha, who likes to sleep on the cushions in the evening.
