My boyfriend and I recently stayed at the Doubletree LAX, and our trip was riddled with issues. The first room we stayed in smelled like sewage. We could not locate where the smell was coming from. At first, I thought we were mistaken, since we never had this issue at other Hilton hotels. But then I realized the smell was coming from the bathroom. The smell infiltrated our entire room. We let the front desk know, and they sent someone to look at it. The maintenance person confirmed there was an issue and facilitated us changing rooms. At this point we moved to a new room and thought the problem was resolved. However, after being in the new room for two days, the tub filled (on its own) with green sludge water that looked like it had sewage in it. We were absolutely horrified, and the smell was horrendous. At this point, we decided to leave the hotel early, forfeiting the last day of our reservation. The woman at the front desk said she added 10,000 points to our Hilton account and a manager will contact us because we booked through Travelocity. As of today I do not see 10,000 points posted or pending in my account. After leaving the hotel, I recognized that all our belongings smelled like sewage. We are airing out our luggage and washing what can be washed. I had not heard from the manager the following day and called the hotel. As of now I have not spoken to a manager & the issue is not resolved.

The hotel was much better than the last Double Tree we stayed at. It might have been perfect except that they offered a shuttle to the airport, when we asked they said no shuttle. Get a cab or uber. When i said that they advertised one, i was told they haven't had one for a while. False advertising maby.

The visit was terrible. I had a 3 day visit and each day there was an issue. I called ahead of time, I was not informed that the hotel was under renovation. I work remotely so I had to listen to hammering, drills, and so forth during my virtual meetings all during the day. My room was on the 5th floor and of course the elevator was broken for the majority of one day so I had to go up/down 5 flights of stairs several times. Asked to have my room cleaned on one day and it was never cleaned. The woman at the counter was not very friendly and had a very dry response. This was such a terrible visit. I was not compensated for anything so I spent $400 to be inconvenienced and uncomfortable.
