The Mountain View Room is highly recommended, super spacious, cozy and has a really nice view outside! The nearest beach is a short walk away and plenty of restaurants/stores around, perfectly drivable to any location around Malibu too! I will gladly book again for a nice getaway! ❤️

Westward Beach is definitely a go-to!

Room was dirty, ants in the bathroom, dead and alive spiders all over the room. It was also freezing, which we found out on day two that the heat is functional, just not easy to figure out. We checked in after the front desk closed the first night, and our son did not not have any extra blankets or sheets. We had called ahead and asked for the couch to be made up as a bed. Staff didn't care much, and as I was asking for spare blankets etc, another guest was in front of me checking out early due to the bugs in their room.

WiFi did not work and the TV cable wouldn’t work since it was connected to the WiFi. I had to use my own hotspot. There was a bad gnat infestation. I had to purchase a bug trap. I have pictures of the WiFi and TV not working and having no connection. I also have pictures of the bugs caught in the trap. My car was covered in gnats at night and in the morning. Staff offered for me to go get a bottle of wine from them for the WiFi and TV not working.

NOISY, room cold, NOISY wall air conditioner going. Room up a stairway by itself. Owner/manager not on site, you must phone to his home then he summons a young person who returns from his lunch to sign you in. ANYONE could walk in and take keys or whatever. Very insecure.

The room smelled bad..when i got ro hotel nobody was there the hoel was closed..i called a ph# on the door ..they told me the room is open the key os inside..in morning i left the hotel to my work no body was in hotel and main door was closed.lwft the key in the room with the door open..

This property is trashed! There was a line of 100+ ants from bahroom door, around two walls, and into the bathroom sink. The bathroom mirror was broken. The towel rack was completely rusted. NONE of the power outlets would hold a plug in place. The floor molding was broken off and jagged in two locations. The outdoor pool and pool house were completely trashed. The in-room jacuzzi tub is smaller than pictured and stained throughout. The staff didn't care about our complaints. This is a one-star hotel that is not worth $50/nights. I would like a refund.

The location is beautiful and very serene but the rooms are very run down and out of touch decor. This is my 2nd stay and again the fireplace did not work.staff is always pleasant and check in is a breeze

We were shown three room. First room that was booked had water damage/ wet floor. Mattress not fit bed. Cob webs broken furniture. Second room the mold smell so bad did not enter. Third room broken slats on windows head board detached hair on pillow. Bathroom had small roaches. Chipped sink and stains on walls. We left property it was 9pm when we arrived after long day and this property a nightmare. Clerk was kind and tried but rooms not fit to stay in. And now cannot contact property or you for refund. This not good.
