We were upgraded to a room at Central Park Bed and Breakfast with our permission; we were notified ahead of our stay of an a/c problem at Dupont Mansion. A welcome gift for our trouble was provided, even though it was only a block from our original destination. Beautiful room, amazing shower, and the specialty breakfast (included) was unique and wonderful. The hosts were pleasant and kind. Definitely recommend! The complimentary cookies weren't bad, either.
The property is great the neighborhood is rough but the building and all aspects of this bed and breakfast are great. I recommend a uber when leaving dont walk from this place we where basically attacked a block away.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at DuPont Mansion. Our room was nicely decorated and spacious. The bathroom was extra large. We'd call the breakfasts "gourmet" - very tasty and satisfying. Meg did an excellent job of taking care of our needs and answering our questions during our stay. The location was perfect for us - a quiet neighborhood with easy parking. It was a short, direct drive down the street to downtown Louisville. Churchhill Downs - 3 miles, airport - 6 miles. One suggestion - if you don't like stairs, be sure to stay on the second floor, The old mansions have very high floor-to-floor heights.
We plan to stay at DuPont Manor when we visit Louisville again.
Nice spacious room. Helpful staff on the phone as had to request entry code. Cleanliness was average and I found the bed topper and mattress was too soft for me. Very quiet. Parking useful but rear garden needs some TLC. Breakfast was not to my taste. Would prefer choice of eggs or pancakes, not the weird cobbler? . New chef apparently, and not a good start. Left hungry .
This is a lovely old home in an interesting area. Just a little bit on the edge of being uncomfortable to stay there. Room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good and staff was friendly and helpful.
Kathryn, our breakfast chef was excellent! Delicious breakfast, engaging conversation an d insightful suggestions of things to do in Louisville. We loved it!
It was like living a luxurious life a century ago, upscale and grand.
I love most meeting the other occupants for breakfast in the same table.
That was a treat to chit chat amongst them.
The mansion is impressive. The restoration of the old building is done so well, and I loved the ambience. They left us some cookies in the kitchen, and they were delicious.
I asked for an extra blanket at about 9:00 PM during our stay. I never got one. It turned out that I was comfortable without it, but I thought it was strange that I didn't get a response. My side of the mattress sagged in the middle, even though it seemed there was a mattress topper. I like my mattresses with a little more support.
When it is all said and done, I enjoyed my stay and hope I will have the opportunity to visit again.
Absolutely beautiful mansion with gorgeous antiques. Loved the canopy bed. The homemade breakfast was fabulous. Itâs in a historic location and very walkable to downtown.
It was great a beautiful home and the lady taking care of us and the home was a very nice person would definitely stay there the next time we are passing through
