The house was clean and had most things you would need. I couldn't get the door code to work, and the host was very fast with his response. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone looking for a place in Louisville.
e had a wonderful stay at this VRBO! The property was exactly as describedâclean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The location was perfect, with easy access to everything we needed while still feeling peaceful and relaxing. The host was responsive and helpful, making the entire process smooth from booking to checkout. We especially appreciated the little details that made the stay feel extra welcoming. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area!
Not sure what happened to the access code that didn't work and we had to contact the host for a new one. Otherwise, it was clean and the beds were comfy. Having two bathrooms was a plus.
The host was very communicative, a few small problems were fixed by the time I came back that day. During a big snow storm, they brought me an extra heater, shoveled an salted the walks to the home. Any an everything I needed was brought to me within mins. I got in a bind an Eric went above a beyond to get me out of it. One of the better vrbos Iâve stayed in. Small home in a quiet neighborhood.
Great place. Parking is a little tough if you have a crew cab long box truck but we made it work. Comfy house, neighborhood was quiet. Easy access in the house. The only thing i could really recommend would be for the host to add a folder/binder containing wifi password and what to do with bedding, towels, and trash when we leave. We also always enjoy reading a log book that has writing from past guests. We love that part of the experience reading about where other guests are from. Also, an emergency contact number just in case. I am totally not complaining, just a thought from all our prior stays in other homes. All in all, we loved it and truly enjoyed our time there. Super easy to get to, and extremely easy to get back on the highway. I would definitely recommend this house and will consider it if available the next time we come to town.
Worked out well for our metro adventure. Older house with charm. Really does but up to the park which is great for walking and meeting the super nice neighbors.
Preston Retreat is cute and very convient access to the KY Expo Center. Had great hot water and air conditioning. However, it was dirty (hair clogging drain in the tub) Dryer didn't work. Washer was questionable. Lacking outlets for electronics. Outdoor barbeque area not usable.
This home was perfectly situated near the University, I-65, a park next door and near Germantown..allowing us opportunity to explore beautiful Louisville easily. The rooms were clean, AC cool and lighting was good. The owners were quick to respond to a couple of minor issues that were resolved.
It was a place to sleep. Unfortunately they did not have bedding for the pull out bed. We had to go buy some. The home itself is really cute but not well kept, the toilet didnât work unless you reset the float every time. The washer and dryer didnât work either, I had to restart it several time to get it to finish one load. Closet doors are all broken. The neighborhood is not one I would choose to stay in the future.
We had no hot water for days due to the pipes not being insulated well and the water freezing. Neither toilet had running water, so the only way to flush was to slowly fill up the tank with pots of water and manually flush. There was also dirty paw prints all over the bathroom from a rodent that clearly lived in the wall that had a big chewed out hole. The owner said it was squirrels. The rest of the place wasnât cleaned well either. When the owner responded, he sent some guys out to fix the pipes, and said it was done, but there was still no water at all in one of the bathrooms. After blasting the wall with a heater for a few days, we finally got water. The owner promised us a discount for the huge inconvenience, but after contacting him multiple times over the past 3 weeks about getting the discount, he has not responded at all. I own a vacation rental that I list on VRBO and I would never treat my guests like this.
