Affordable, clean, and felt safe. The attendant at check-in was helpful and filled us in on some restaurants we asked about. He suggested a second-floor room for quiet, and we had no disturbances. When we checked in, and for an hour or so afterward, there was a very strong gas-like odor outside, extending for several blocks along the lake. The attendant explained there was an oil refinery nearby and that occasionally you could smell it. By evening it was gone, and we didn't smell it the next day. We could not smell it from our room, thankfully.

It was a place to stop for the night and try to rest, however, after a couple hours of sleeping, there were noises like water running, loud water pipes from some one showering. There were other noises that woke us as well as the water pipes. The bed was not as long as we are used to and our toes were hanging over the end of the bed. The matress seemed to be an innerspring matress and was not comfortable. This is a convenient location for the event we attended and needed a place to stay the night but next time we will choose somewhere else to spend the night.

It was dark and dirty, room keys didn't work until we got them re-programmed, everything smelled like pot with a hint of cigarette smoke, and had a slightly creepy atmosphere. Bad enough that we left after only being there for 20 minutes... Willing to lose the money rather than stay! Also... 'Queen' rooms have a double bed!!

Loved having water across the street and a view of a few of the bigger boats. Gentlemen at reception were super friendly. Rooms were homey and spacious. And they had tea, coffee, hot cocoa and cookies for guests 24/7! A wonderful bonus. :) Breakfast was a little sparse but a great value for the price point.
