Spacious home, one block away from the beach! Cozy up next to the fire place and read a book, enjoy the nostalgic charm of watching a VHS tape on the VCR player, play a record on the phonograph, soak in the hot tub, take a walk into town, or around Nehalem State Park, stoke up a fire in the wood burning fire pit and look up at the stars, watch the the sunset over the ocean and drink a hot cup of joe to the sounds of nature, drink a glass of wine next to the fire table, etc etc!!!
The best part of the Oregon Coast is experiencing the ocean and PNW forests simultaneously. You don't have to choose between a beach, nature or city vacation - let our spacious Manzanita retreat be the relaxing homebase from which you can do all three. The beach is ONE block from the ocean! Town is just a ~15 minute walk ( 1 minute drive), and Nehalem Bay State Park is right around the corner! We have beach toys, boogie boards, beach chairs, towels, beach wagon, beach bags. etc.,available to use during your visit.
Your kids will love the play kitchen with lots of extra toys for kids of all ages. We also have a baby walker, two Graco pac and plays, high chair, children's single bed, out door play set, and baby toys for your convience and child's pleasure. We also have several children's movies on VHS, DVD, and or you can stream movies from our 65" smart tv.
Our spacious home offers the perfect environment for family reunions and friendly get togethers, with enough beds to comfortably sleep nine guests. The home is also equipped with a brand new washe and dryer.! The private backyard is equipped with, a brand new seven person hot tub, gas and wood fire pits, a barbecue grill, and plenty of cozy seating . Inside you'll find a comfortable living area with cards, books,board games, a phonograph record player, & a smart-tv setup for streaming. Or, if you're feeling nostalgic, take advantage of our VCR player and vintage collection of classic VHS movies. We also have a fully equipped and stocked kitchen and laundry room for your convenience.
Whether your ideal vacation includes cozying up next to the fireplace with a book, rowdy game nights with the family, roasting s'mores and looking up at the stars, drinking a glass of wine outside next to the gas fire table and chatting with friends, soaking in the hot tub,watching the sunset over the ocean, drinking a hot cup of joe to the sounds of nature, or biking, hiking and exploring - our Manzanita home is the place for you!
Please reach out to me if you need anything in the home at all, or if something doesn’t meet your expectations. We strive for 5 Star customer service! Not 4 but 5 at all times!! The home will be very cozy and super clean for you! If you want a more spacious woodsy retreat with a short 6 minute walk to the beach… we are the house for you! You can hear the ocean from the doorstep of the house! Its incredibly peaceful. We also have the benefit of being surrounded by trees and nature all around. The home is located one block away from the beach and around the corner of the Nahalem Bay State Park. There are several trails you can walk right down the street. Don’t be surprised if you see a family of deer or elk walking in the front yard. I recommend checking out both the beach at the end of our street . I also recommend driving to Laneda street ( 1 minute drive) and checking out the small town and the beach at the end of the street. Don’t forget to check out the guide book link we created on ABNB or the printed copy in the house info book. Here you will find plenty of fun things to do, places to dine etc.
Guest Access:
Guests have access to the entire 3-bed 2.5-bath home.
Hot tub
Hot tub hours are from 10AM-10PM
The hot tub is brand new as of November 2022 and works great!!! The hot tub is serviced weekly.
. If the hot tub is left excessively dirty, sandy, or murky, part or all of your security deposit will be used for the additional service. If the hot tub cover or lift is damaged during your stay, you will be charged $500 to replace.
Pets
We have a two dog max and have lots of yummy dog treats and cozy beds for your pets. Please include pet information in the comments during booking. Any signs of pets on the property without our knowledge will incur an additional $250 fee. We ask that pets please stay off all furniture. If you pet needs to be by your side on the couch, please lay down a sheet or towel, located in the red basket in the garage. If your pet has an accident in the home, please clean it immediatley and let us know where the accident took place, so the maid can make sure the accident is completey removed. If the maid notices pet hair on the furniture or bedding, there may be an additional fee to clean or replace the item. Please reach out with questions or concerns!
Cleaning Fee:
Please note, like most ABNB rentals, there is a cleaning fee. It’s very hard to find professional cleaners in the area, as there is a shortage of cleaners. Luckily we found an amazing professional cleaner. She does a fantastic job and takes pride in her work. 100 percent of the cleaning fee goes to her and cleaning supplies. She charges a flat rate, you will see when booking. The rate is the same if you are 1 guest or have 9 guests. Thank you for supporting her and the Manzanita community!
COVID-19 Precautionary Implementations:
We have made many changes to encourage an extra clean & safe environment for our guests. This includes following CDC guidelines for best cleaning & sanitizing practices. Please contact us with ANY questions - we want everyone to have peace of mind during their relaxing stay!
A few other things to note and ensure this is the place for you:
You will be expected to leave the property in the same condition it was found. We have cameras set up on the exterior of the home for security purposes. If guests are found violating the rules, guests acknowledge they may forfeit their security deposit. This includes the two dog limit.
Upstairs there is a Queen bed in one room with an ensuite bathroom. The otehr bedroom has two twin beds and a fold out sleeper chair. There is a futon that sleeps two in the loft area. The Main floor bedroom has an ensuite bathroom with a king bed. Also on the main floor is a half bathroom located in the hallway.
The neighborhood:
Manzanita is one of Northern Oregon's most popular coastal towns. Stroll the beach and enjoy the spectacular view of Neahkahnie Mountain to the north. It was here that famed Oregon governor Oswald West was so inspired by the landscape that he declared that Oregon’s beaches should always remain free and open to all. Back in town, Manzanita packs in the culinary excellence with a delightful bakery, fine dining, wine, beer and gourmet groceries.
Manzanita has an amazing setting, with the striking backdrop of Neahkahnie Mountain looming over its sandy beach. The Native Indian translation for Neahkahnie Mountain is "Viewpoint of the Gods", and the incredible vistas from this 1,680 foot mountain don't disappoint. There's a lot of mythology surrounding the area, with colorful tales of Spanish shipwreck treasure buried in the foothills of Neahkahnie Mountain.
