We stayed for 2 nights, very comfortable, very clean. The sunset view , beautiful. You can see some marine life . Definitely recommend . Will definitely be back again
We had an amazing experience at the Aqua Lodge! The space was super clean and smelled great as soon as we walked in, itâs clear they take cleanliness and attention to detail seriously. The lodge was fully stocked with everything we needed: kitchen essentials, towels, and even organic products for the shower and sink (which they kindly ask guests to use). Everything was thoughtful and well prepared. Overall, we had such a fun and relaxing stay, weâll definitely be back!
The idea of sleeping on a houseboat when your goal is to go fishing makes for a perfect combination. My son woke up and fished from the back of his room and or in the front of the kitchen. It was quiet and met all our needs 2 big beds and a loft for storage or sleeping. The only issue I had was the TV I needed to have an Amazon account for me to watch on TV.
Overall it was a great 5 days.
When we checked in there were cleaners still working on the cabin and informed us that we were in the wrong cabin. This wasnât true. The last day of our stay the construction crew showed up to work on our unit before 8 am. We were told by the front desk that was beyond their control. They woke up our guests! How is that beyond their control????
Aqua Lodge has two locations that were not mentioned in the listing. We were at the 47th Street location and it was poor at best. The boat was fine for two people for a few days. The property is not very well maintained. Thereâs a 45+ foot yacht permanently moored 10 feet in front of the boat completely blocking any view and thereâs dogs and cats roaming the property leaving feces everywhere! The yacht haven location is much better while the 47th Street location is very poor at best!
The toilet smelled horrible whenever flushed and then whole boat would smell like septic for hours. I complained and the office manager told me thatâs normal because itâs like an RV septic tank. Iâve been in several RVs and they donât smell⊠I would not stay again!
Be prepared to pay more than quoted once you get there. The property blamed the under charge on hotels.com who I booked through. They claim that the service fees or cleaning fees need to have tax added on and they extract another 20 bucks out of you before you can check in. Just be prepared. I know itâs not a lot but it really started the experience off on a nasty note. And if they pull this stunt with every guest they are scamming a lot of money!!! The stay was good though
We enjoyed staying here. The first night was windy and we had a LOT of banging during the night. Our second night was much better the wind died down and it was nice during the night.
The houseboat itself was not too bad. The toilet seats didn't fit the toilet so they kept sliding around and the smell was terrible. Also, outside other people who lived in the area would let their little dogs poop on the patch of grass right in front of us and then the groundskeepers came and shoveled the dog a hint of the water. Also right in front of our faces also, the walls were so thin. I could almost distinguish conversations going on in the next houseboat to the point where it kept me awake late at night
Had a wonderful time. So much to do in the area. We enjoyed the Cabana Club beach only a short drive away and included in the fee. We were there for the coldest week of the year. The maintenance gentleman, Scott and his assistant were kind enough to bring a hard to find space heater that kept us toasty warm as well a giving spot on recommendations for great places to eat. Some construction in the area but tolerable. Hope to return someday.
The house boat was extremely clean. The sheets were clean, towels, washcloths, everything was spotless. Whoever does the housekeeping did an amazing job. The cabinets had things to cook yourself a meal, and there was plenty of room to accommodate our 5 person party. It is an adorable place to stay for a long weekend. The ladies at the check in lodge were very hospitable. There is some construction going on in the area, but it does not interfere with your stay at all. I would recommend this place to anyone.
We absolutely loved the houseboat! The little area by the water for sitting could use a little upgrading but overall it was an awesome stay! Staff- best Iâve dealt with so far.
We needed a place to stay that we could park close to being that we came to dive and had a lot of gear. The closest neighbor greated us upon arrival, the atmosphere was quiet and peaceful. The boat gently rocked you to sleep at night on the comfy beds, couldn't have asked for more honestly and plan to come back.
We absolutely loved our stay here! The boat house was very cute and very clean, not a single issue the entire time. Yes, the boat will rock a bit depending on the weather, but that is to be expected when youâre floating on water. The people in the area were very friendly and the woman who we rented the boat house from was extremely nice and accommodating. She answered any questions that we had and had excellent communication. We would absolutely stay at the aqua lodges again the next time we visit Marathon! 10/10 would recommend to anyone with a small family visiting the area.
